FOSTERS NEEDED!!

We are in need of fosters who have experience with bottle feeding kittens. We are looking for people that can open their homes and hearts to help a poor defenseless orphaned baby.

If you would like to help, please reach out today! All we ask is for foster to be local to Adams County and if you have cats, to have them up to date on vaccines. We can not let an orphaned kitten go to a foster unless the cats in the home have been vaccinated.

Update Moses is out of surgery and recovering back at the shelter. And we are now up to $465 getting closer. Would like to thank everyone who has donated. And even better news, Moses will be meeting his new family and will be leaving the shelter on Monday May 27th.

Today is the big day for this guy he is currently at the vet awaiting his dental surgery. We are $160 shy of our goal to cover his bill. please donate every little bit counts.

Two puppies found 5/15/24 on Blacks Run Road, West Union, Adams County, Ohio. One has collar, no ID. The dog pound was called but was turned away for being full.

Also unfortunately both shelters are full and our humane agent and the HSAC has been getting multiple calls and msg daily asking to come get a dog or will we take a stray. The HSAC only takes owner surrenders and cruelty case if an owner is involved. And if you need to surrender please go to our website and fill out a surrender form at adamscountyanimals.org. You will then be put on a waiting list. Once a cage is opened you will be called for an appointment to surrender. You will fill out paperwork and pay the surrender fee. This goes for stray cats and kittens as well. The Humane Society of Adams County is a non profit organization and is run only on donations, grants, fundraisers, adoptions and surrenders.

Thanks to Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation, the Humane Society of Adams County is now able to treat all of our shelter dogs with NexGard® PLUS all summer long!!

Here is Otis getting his monthly preventative with our Humane Agent Officer Meghann Fast. Otis has been with HSAC for 2 years now and he is a favorite among the staff! He was Ms. Fast’s first case after swearing in as an agent and he is still looking for his forever family! His favorite thing to do is lay on his back and get belly rubs! Otis unfortunately has been batteling some health issues like whipworms and a severe ear infection. He has since then been treated but was due for his monthly flea and tick preventative. Otis is ready for summer and can now fight off those pesky fleas and ticks!

It’s very important to treat for flea and ticks! This product is amazing and will do wonders for your furbabies health!🙏

Congratulations are in order for the newest adopters. Yuki left for an outing at the Precinct Cafe last Wednesday and ended up getting adopted. Velvet and our three legged feline Pickles left Saturday with their new family from Vanceburg Ky.

Congratulations to Steel, Bubbles, and Ivy. Miss Ivy is our big story of the week, her new family flew all the way from Tampa Fl to come and adopt her. The story was was published in the Informer Newspaper this week.
