And here’s what our crazy pups do.
THANK YOU to the Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation who, joining forces with Greater Good Charities, generously provided nearly 2
million doses of NexGard® PLUS to support lifesaving animal efforts across the country!
Thanks to Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation, the Humane Society of Adams County is now able to treat all of our shelter dogs with NexGard® PLUS all summer long!!
Here is Otis getting his monthly preventative with our Humane Agent Officer Meghann Fast. Otis has been with HSAC for 2 years now and he is a favorite among the staff! He was Ms. Fast’s first case after swearing in as an agent and he is still looking for his forever family! His favorite thing to do is lay on his back and get belly rubs! Otis unfortunately has been batteling some health issues like whipworms and a severe ear infection. He has since then been treated but was due for his monthly flea and tick preventative. Otis is ready for summer and can now fight off those pesky fleas and ticks!
It’s very important to treat for flea and ticks! This product is amazing and will do wonders for your furbabies health!🙏

Pups having a little play time up front
It was such a nice day yesterday the pups got to play in the yard. Nellie had the zoomies and Deedee enjoyed playing with her ball. Both are up for adoption.
Happy New Years from the shelter animals and the staff at the HSAC
Last but not least Rudy. All of our shelter dogs got to come up and pick their Christmas toy from Santa. Several of our pups or more excited to see us and the cat then to pick a toy.
The Shelter Giving Tree is up. Each clear ornament has a shelter animals name and what they would like or need for Christmas, we will also have a list of supplies the shelter is in need of as well. We have 60 animals in total to pick from. If you would like to donate or pick an animal you can come in during business hours and take name or call in.
Mark your calendar we are just days away from Bladyn’s Cat Palooza
Update on Opie. He is settling in great with the staff and other shelter animals. Opie is available for adoption if you would like to meet him or any of the other animals we are opened most days 11-3, closed on Wednesday and Sunday. Mason Co Shelter let us know Chaos is loving life he have been in heaven since he arrived. With daily outings with the staff he has been taken on car rides enjoying the creek and interacting with the public as people come to visit.
Happy Late International Cat Day
Our silly pups had fun playing with their siblings in the kiddie pool after their walk and before their bath. I bet they will sleep good tonight. How cute are they??? All are available for adoption.
