Deep Canyon Ranch is thankful to be a part of Jody Swink’s Trail Clinic this weekend!! We met some amazing ladies and 1 gentleman along with gain an awesome amount of knowledge!!
We are looking forward to hosting another event with you all very soon!!

Posts like this make my heart overflow with joy and pride.. it’s been 6 years since Jake and I embarked on this adventure of running a Boarding Stable and Event Venue. Our community and clients that entrust us to care for their animals and create great events along side them.. we are Blessed 🙏

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your participation in the Black Canyon Donkey Derby! With over 80 participants, wonderful vendors, food trucks, spectators, and more, we had such a fabulous weekend! What a great group of people this b***o community is! Thank you to Jacie, at Deep Canyon Ranch, for a wonderful venue, clean and well-kept stalls, and a safe place for everyone to enjoy the event. Jacie worked so hard to provide a great venue for us and we appreciate her dearly! We are also grateful to our photographers, Janna Lasher, Donna Pierce, and Teresa Marie Photography, for their generosity in volunteering their time to capture this memorable event. We thank Bob Cothern (Black Canyon Trail), for giving an informational presentation for our spectators on the history of the trail itself. It was lovely to have so many vendors set up their booths to give our spectators things to do while cheering on the racers. Thank you to our sponsors, Edward Jones, Sandam Ranch, Oatman B***os, & Forever Home Donkey Rescue. We could not have pulled this off without you. This event truly could not have happened without all of our volunteers. Lisa Smith, from Loco for Long Ears, brought a team of volunteers to assist us on race day, and we are beyond grateful for them! So many people came together to make this 4th annual Black Canyon Donkey Derby a success! If you are not already a part of the Facebook group, "Dusty Donkeys- Arizona's B***o Community," please join! If you click on the tab "media" & "Albums," that is where all of the photographs are being uploaded (still more to come). Please feel free to add your own photos as well! We hope you will join us again next year and bring all of your friends! We have plans to add even more kids' activities, add some extra vendors, and many more ideas are already being discussed!

We have been hard at work this Spring. The hard work pays off when you get these kind of messages from visitors!!
Chance (Thank you) and I have been out there everyday, raking, shoveling and cleaning. Spring is always a housekeeping season around here.
We are looking forward to the Black Canyon Donkey Derby this weekend!! 3/9-3/10
We will have vendors and food along with the great donks and runners!!

We’re on the Map! This is the Black Canyon Ultras Checkpoint Map on a hoodie I received … Deep Canyon Ranch is proud to be on the map! The 60k will end here. Looking forward to many marathons from the Ultras in the future!!

Food trucks will be on site

3/2-3/4 ADC(driving trials)
Arizona Driving Carriage.
Horses of all sizes driving carts through obstacles and performing dressage.
Open to the public

3/9-3/10 Black Canyon Donkey Derby
3-6-9 mile Marathon on the Black Canyon Trail on 3/9
Runners start and finish at Deep Canyon Ranch.
Food truck and vendors
Obstacles and costume contest on 3/10

Keep an eye out for more fun events happening throughout the Spring into early summer. We know of the possibility of at least 2 more events, one in March and one in May.

I am beyond excited to announce that we here at , Deep Canyon Ranch, once again will be hosting this event!!
