Each horse comes from different backgrounds and experiences, meeting them where they are at and guiding them through their confusion with patience and understanding builds a trust that can sometimes be hard to describe.

Exposing young horses to different terrains and situations on the trail, will help them to overcome doubts and build confidence.

Horses are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and smells while on the trail. This expands their minds and helps them become more adaptable to ever-changing situations.

What a weekend!!

Saturday I attended a Working Equitation Cattle clinic with Tim Hamilton and on Sunday I attended a Dressage Clinic with Trisha Reed.

Special thank you to my coach and mentor Trisha for allowing me to assist and shadow her during her Dressage Clinic. Such an invaluable learning experience!

Very excited to be attending this clinic the day after the cattle play day at Sleeping Willow Ranch this weekend!

I absolutely love learning new things and fine tuning my skills that translate to every horse I ride!

With April almost upon us who is ready for some COUNT DOWNS!!!!! 41 days until our first show of the season!!!!! Anyone else's response "WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?!?!?" Do not panic!!!!! We had a cancelation in our clinic with Trisha Kiefer Reed that is in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!! Sign up link is below. Not only can you ride the dressage test with Trisha, she will be able to give you valuable feed back that will apply to all other aspects of Working Equitation!!!!! We also decided to add a playday on in April so on the 19th plan on coming out and our outdoor arena will be open for obstacles and the indoor for dressage!

Took advantage of the wind to play like a kid again. After all a loud person is who makes a quite horse. 🏃‍♀️

My kids like to run and play, even though they play a safe distance from the horses, I like to set my horses up to encounter the unexpected

Please note:
** Not standing in the horses kicking zone

** This is not the horses first time being introduced a flying grain bag

** Horses did have the ability to move around if they wanted to

Stormy and I received our final award standings for the 2023 Working Equitation yesterday from the USAWE!

Thank you all who worked so hard to put the season shows, clinics and gatherings together, I truly appreciate all your hard work to make it happen.

Stormy was awarded the 2023 National Breed Performance Champion for Clydesdales!

Stormy and I were also awarded Region Top 3 for the Open L1- Introductory division.

Excited about the 2024 season and seeing all my wonderful WE family ❤️
