Calimero was rescued by us ENPA SEZ. CUTE and from another Association (Happy in the queue Onlus - Salvatore Libero Barone) a few days ago. He's miraculously alive, despite being cowardly sprayed with acid by some infamous person. No one saw anything, as it often happens, but his body confirms the tales. The Municipality of CARINI interrupted every service but in any case, given the conditions, he would not have survived in the kennel. Calimero, after about 10 days, is miraculously alive and with a lot of will to fight. We opposed euthanasia because his values and his vital organs were incredibly in the norm, from the beginning. Despite the torn ears (one will have to be amputated completely), the eyes closed from the corrosive action of the acid (they opened), the deep wounds spread all over the body, to the point where derma and muscle are missing. Calimero will have to go on a very long tenure (3 months) to go back to the roots, for so many monsters there won’t be enough time for forgiveness. Every day he is sedated, medicated, cleaned. Progress is visible but in the next few days micro-plasticsurgery and skin grafts will be needed. The estimated basic costs, for 3 months, are around 8 thousand euros, but we fear that even more will be needed, which is why we are joining forces to ensure Calimero is the best, especially for plastic surgery, scans, if possible ( We’ll know in 15 days) interventions at the ears and the eye .
