First round of dahlia cuttings. Dahlia Cuttings can be taken from the mother tuber or existing plants.
Here are some benefits from growing dahlias from cutting:
1. The most cost-effective way to increase your stock of a favorite variety.
2. Head Start on the growing season.
3. Plants grown from cuttings will often bloom weeks ahead of those grown from tubers.
4. Taking cuttings is also a good way to guarantee that you have viable plants, especially when spring growing conditions are less than ideal. ( rainy season in Central Florida is one of our biggest challenge growing dahlias from tubers).

Growing dahlias in zone 9b can be challenging due to our climate. However, Brookside did really well in my zone 9b garden. Here are some of my observations for Brookside:
1. Produce lots of blooms
2. Vase life of 5 days or more
3. Pinch hard for long stems
4. 4 ft plant
5. Requires support (stake)

🗣 STOP WASTING YOUR PINEAPPLE TOPS. You will be surprised how easy it is to grow pineapple. They can be grown in containers or directly in the ground. No commercially grown pineapples will ever taste as sweet and flavorful as homegrown pineapple.

The ranunculus corms are off to a great start. Ranunculus normally starts to flower about 90 days after planting. Fall-planted ranunculus corms will bloom in early spring.
