This gorgeous boy is Nico, a handsome and healthy six year old corgi mix who's looking for a family. Nico is a shy boy who takes a minute to warm up to someone new, especially men, but once he does he becomes the best friend anyone could ever hope for. Nico loves outings and car rides! And he's great with other dogs as long as he's properly introduced, cats, and kids. He's healthy, loving, and looking for a home! Nico is available for adoption on our website.

Friends, we heard the sad news yesterday that alumni Maisey has passed away. She was adopted from us in 2015 and had a wonderful life with her second chance family. Her mama told us that 'Even when she became blind and lost both of her eyes, her spirit could never be broken. She played hard and she loved even harder. Thank you so much for bringing her into our lives." We know how dearly loved that Maisey was, and we sent her family our love and condolences.

We're all obsessed with Chester! Just look at this gorgeous boy. He's 5 months old and a beagle/Aussie shepherd mix, and his foster mom says that he's just as sweet as he is adorable. He gets along well with other dogs, he's doing great with training, he loves everyone he meets, and he's perfectly healthy! We've just listed Chester as available for adoption on our website.

Tiny but mighty! Marigold is a spunky, sassy little kitten, just 11 weeks old, and her personality is much bigger than her little body. This girl is fearless! She's quickly become the boss of the dogs in her foster home, and she loves to entertain her foster family with her antics. She's a silly girl with a ton of self-confidence and she's looking for an adopter with a sense of humor! Marigold is perfectly healthy and a ton of fun, and she's available for adoption on our website.

Olive has been adopted! And this sweet and loving girl has found a home where she's going to get all of the love and attention she could possibly hope for. We wish Olive and her family many happy years together!

This gorgeous girl is Jackie Jean, and she came to us a few weeks ago as an owner surrender. She's a beautiful 7-8 year-old Shih Tzu with an amazing personality and she loves everyone! We haven't been able to list her as available because we immediately noticed some health concerns. She was drinking nonstop and peeing nonstop, and her foster mom quickly knew there was something wrong. We got her to the vet and a test for diabetes was negative, so the next step was further diagnostics. Jackie Jean had some additional testing and yesterday we got the news that she has Cushing's disease, a metabolic dysfunction also known as hyperadrenocorticism.
We need to do a little more testing to find out whether it's caused by dysfunction in her adrenal gland or pituitary gland, and we're getting her started on treatment as soon as possible. Cushing's can be frustrating to treat, but there is an effective medication that can keep her stable and give her a high-quality life! And this girl sure deserves the best. As soon as she's stable we are going to list her for adoption, and hope and pray that someone who loves the special ones as much as we do falls in love and wants to give her a home. Any good Karma that can be sent her way would be greatly appreciated, and we want to thank our dear friends at Village Paws for giving her a much-needed glow up and making her look so fabulous.

Today is extra special for alumni Skye! Not only is it National Rescue Dog Day, it's also the 10th anniversary of the day that she walked into her foster home and her a foster family knew in about two minutes that this special girl wasn't going anywhere. Yes, Skye is one of our foster failures, but she's also the best and happiest girl in the world! She wants to wish all of the rescue dogs out there a Happy National Rescue Dog Day, and her hope is that they all are as happy as she is in their second chance homes.

Friends, we're absolutely overjoyed to let everyone know that Iris has been adopted by a family that's absolutely perfect for her! This happy girl has so much love to give and now she's got a home with her own with people to love her back. She was adopted because of a Facebook share that caught her new family's eye! We want to thank everyone who continues to support us by sharing our adoptable animals, because it really does make a difference.

Anyone looking for a walking companion to help them get in shape will fall in love with Trixie! She's a three year old terrier mix and she came to us as an owner surrender, and in her previous life she didn't get much exercise and her hobby was eating which has left her obese and out of shape. Her vet has recommended that she lose several pounds and she's looking for a home where she will get healthy meals, plenty of walks, and lots of attention. Trixie loves everyone! She's a very, very nice dog, mild mannered, and gentle, and she makes friends easily. She would be great motivation for outdoor exercise! And a wonderful companion as well. Natalie is the perfect choice for someone with a one pet limit! She's a sweet and loving one year old bobtail cat who absolutely adores her humans, but she doesn't like to share affection with other animals. Nothing makes her happier than spending time cuddling with loved ones! Natalie is perfectly healthy, very loving, and a wonderful companion. She's available for adoption on our website.
