🐾 Meet adoptable cat Mad Max! He is anything but mad these days. Originally found outside, he seems to have not had a lot of experience with humans or indoor living; but once he got a taste, he never wanted to go back outside. He is looking for a patient forever home who will love, respect, and cherish him like his foster parents do!

The ways to his heart are head and chin scratches, food, and wand toys. He will sometimes sleep at the foot of his people’s bed, and he likes to be in the room they are in. He is still learning to trust, but he's the sweetest boy!

Max is an adorable, shy, playful, curious, and unbelievably lovable two-year-old cat who has a childlike innocence that makes him very charming. Can you take over loving this handsome and dapper sweetheart?

"Eleanor has been the perfect addition to our family! She loves cuddling on the couch, looking out the window on her cat perch, and playing with her brothers Rocco (cat) and Leroy (dog). She is an absolute sweetheart with a playful spirit. We hope to have many more happy years together!"

Happy birthday to Makita, who turns 1 year old today! 🎉✨️ Her ultimate gift would be to find her forever home.

Makita is a friendly and busy girl with places to go and toys to chase. She's curious, energetic, and a little goofy. While she's not a lap cat (yet!), she loves interactive play and exploring her surroundings, and does well with other cats. She will do best in a cat-savvy home that understands feline body language and can continue to help her learn good manners and boundaries, especially during playtime.

Makita is a fun, active cat who will thrive with someone looking for an engaging companion and who appreciates a cat with big eyes and an even bigger personality.

For a little bit of happy news, it's Bert and Violet's birthday — they're sixteen today! 🎉✨️ These two are adoptable and are also part of our Never Give Up program.

Do you have sunny windows, a quiet home, and the desire to help two senior cats that you might never be able to pet? Bert and Violet came into rescue five years ago, after their owner could no longer care for them and they were about to be euthanized at a local shelter.

Both of these senior cats still fear human touch, though they get along with other cats. These two love the finer things in life, like eating tasty meals, lounging in sunshine, lying in comfy beds, and rolling in fresh catnip.

Bert and Violet's care can also be sponsored through our Never Give Up program, which supports our harder to adopt, sick, scared, and vulnerable cats while they wait for their forever homes. We hope their future families are out there, and we won't give up on these special cats. 🩶

Join us at Rail Werks on Sunday, January 18th for a Kitty Revolution Used Book Sale fundraiser! All funds raised from our book sale will support our rescue cats and their medical needs, like spays and neuters, prescriptions, and emergency care.

📚 We'll have books available from different genres at our sale, so there will be something for everyone. Come add to your TBR pile while you grab a drink from the brewery and join our cat-loving community. They also have a great food menu, and Sunday brunch is served until 2 pm. Hope to see you there!

Dorian and Baxter just turned 6! 🎉✨️ This pair is adoptable and also part of our Never Give Up program, which supports our most vulnerable, sick, scared, and hard-to-adopt cats.

Dorian and Baxter are a bonded pair who love other cats, but they are both cautious around humans due to some experiences they had before coming into rescue. They're both making progress slowly with their patient foster.

Dorian is a playful, smart, shy guy, and Baxter is a charming, gentle lady with a quiet spirit. Dorian and Baxter's bond is heartwarming, and they need to be adopted together. They are each other's comfort. If you're a patient soul who'd like to take a chance on these two and give them the best birthday gift we could imagine, please apply to meet them!

🐾 Adoption update: Mama (fka Ember) and her son Bacon (fka Flint) recently went home, and we checked in with their family.

"Bacon and Mama are doing great. Bacon just ventured downstairs for the first time yesterday. Mama not quite yet. Bacon loves to look outside and Mama just wants to be near Bacon. She is slowly coming out of her shell. Thank you for all you did."

We love when shy cats start to come out of their shell, and we're so glad to see these two opening up in their forever home!

Update: Prada and Gucci have been adopted! 🎉 Chanel and Hermès are still looking for their people.

🖤🤍 Meet Chanel and her adorable black-and-white kittens. Their fancy names reflect their fancy tuxedos!

Prada is a friendly kitten who is more than ready to find her forever home. She loves exploring, playing, and soaking up attention.

Gucci is playful and affectionate. This friendly girl eagerly comes up for pets and purrs, soaking up attention and giving it right back.

Hermès is a very shy little kitten with a tender heart. She’s quietly curious and braver than she may seem. If possible, she'd be love to be adopted with her mom, Chanel.

Chanel is a quiet and resilient girl who can be shy when you first meet her. Give her a little time, though, and she blossoms into an affectionate companion who enjoys purring and being close to her person.

Kitty Revolution is a volunteer-based, no-kill cat rescue in the Twin Cities, MN metro area that seeks to save the unwanted, the misunderstood, the less-than-perfect, and to help change the way the world sees cats through community education and outreach.

Kitty Revolution was founded by a group of passionate, dedicated cat enthusiasts who are devoted to saving and improving the lives of the overlooked and otherwise discarded cats in our community. Rescue isnʼt just about cute kittens; itʼs about the scared, shy, dirty, unwanted cats, too. The older ones. The ones whose spirits have been broken, who have forgotten or maybe never learned how to trust, the ones who need time and patience and then more time. Itʼs about the ones with serious medical needs and chronic illnesses. Itʼs about meeting cats where theyʼre at and understanding how far they can go.
