Eventful day of all the new babies! Two of Grace’s does have kid! (3 more still need to kid) She has 4 baby bucks! Super cute, but wishing for doelings. And Blake and Jase are impatiently waiting the arrival of their chicks! 🐣🐐♥️

This is a test year for these lilies! If the growing season goes well, we will grow more! Each week I will have about 150 stems available!

2024 has been good to us so far! I would like to introduce to you Toby! 🐶He is ½ Great Pyrenees and ½ Newfoundland! He is sooo sweet and playful! Great with all our kids and can’t wait to watch him grow up!
Also the littles are excited to start their own chicken brood! 🐣🐓
So many newbies here on the farm! Call us crazy, but it’s never a dull moment!

It’s that time of year again!! Seedling are starting to line up in the greenhouse! They will start going out into the field in a few weeks! This is the easy part of the year!
Sitting and planting out trays…following a schedule. And maintain watering. 📝
Soon i will be planting summer annuals, harvesting tulips and peonies, while waiting for the weather to allow all the crops to flourish!

Hi! I have your reserved dahlia tubers ready! Tubers are $3.00 each. please look at post to confirm how many you reserved or message me.
Pickup will be available Saturday (Nov 11th) anytime after 9:00-4:00. They will be in bags with your name on it located on the counter at the market(near the farm sign at the top of the lane). I will be around working and trying to close up the farm for the winter if you would like to pay cash. Or if you prefer to Venmo, my Venmo is .

Here are a few tips to keep you tubers healthy:
-after picking up open your bag and wet the wood chips to add humidity in your bag. Doesn’t have to be soggy just enough the wood chips are slightly damp.
-store tubers in a cool location and check monthly to see if wood chips need to be rewet.
- tubers should look like a potato, not shriveled or moldy.
-after the last frost, plant in a warm/sunny location. Water well and do not water till you see growth.
-enjoy the flowers late summer till frost.
-once frost dies back the foliage, dig and repeat!

I have too many Arabian Night dahlia tubers that need a home this fall!!!
I will be digging up these tubers once we have a frost and have them ready for anyone who is interested!
Store till the spring, plant them in a full sun location, and watch these beauties grow and produce the most prolific blooms late summer till frost!

Even though, there is plenty of behind the scenes work going on right now to have a successful season. I try to take some time to set goals and a plan to make sure creativity, growth, and beautiful flowers are the centerfold for duration of the season. How do you refresh and restart? I’m Always looking for tips and tricks to managing stress during busy seasons.☺️
Washing has been on my list to do all late fall (it’s my least favorite job😬) and I told myself, the shop is heated I’ll do it over Christmas break. Between holiday craziness and feeling under the weather since the new year, this project didn’t get done. So I thought!! 🥳Well I just came out to the shop and saw they are all clean and ready for a new season! This ladies and gentlemen is what I call love! I am often asked what type of flowers do you grow? And I am always over whelmed with this question because we do grow so many varieties! Unlike my dad and brothers, they adhere to the knowledge of three crops…corn, soybeans, and wheat (and believe me…they ARE experts!). I on the other hand have to be an expert to grow 40+ varieties! Focal, filler, and greens that will support bequests and florists throughout the duration of the spring through the fall. (Which is sometimes a daunting task!) 🥳The band is back together for another season! This is my Mom and Dad’s way of life! Planting, maintaining, and harvesting fields of corn, soybeans, and wheat for American and international products! 🌾🌽 My mom is a mean machine driving the grain cart; while my Dad is an old pro in the combine! They truly are match made in heaven and the best parents four kids could ask for! Remember American Farmers this time of year. May they stay safe on the roads and around their equipment. Pray for a bountiful harvest to support their families and prosper from year to year. 🙏🏻Amen!
