Thoroughbred Camp is a collaborative educational program involving the Thoroughbred Educational Foundation, Inc. and the equine industry. Our purpose is to teach horsemanship, horse welfare and the social responsibility behind being a thoroughbred owner. Specific goals of the program are to:
Increase horsemanship and horse welfare concepts in training, thereby allowing horses to reach their greate

st potential in all of their careers. Prevent horses from becoming "unwanted" in the first place by changing the training philosophy from "single-career" into "multi-career" training. Promote relevancy of the breed in order to increase demand and show that thoroughbreds are social, versatile, and athletic. Save many "unwanted thoroughbreds" by teaching others to transition train. Restore & Sustain the tradition of horsemanship and horse welfare by educating future generations.
