Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us at Art in the Park this weekend! We are thrilled to share that we raised over $1,000, and even more exciting, several of our dogs may have found their forever families! Our pups are exhausted from all the love and attention they received, but we couldn’t be happier with how the weekend turned out. We also spread a lot of awareness about our mission, and we're so grateful for your continued support. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🥰🐾

Hello world! My name is Biggie and I was named after the size of my heart! I have come into the Fetch family because of no fault of my own. You see, I was with the same family my whole life and well, things were changing and I need a little more attention. I am a biggie sweetheart and while I am just a lil dude, I actually believe I am a biggie dog and would LOVE a fur brother or sister in my new home. I will hypnotize you as I am NOTORIOUS for my B.I.G. skills including being amazing with children, crate trained, potty trained, food motivated and knowing some basic commands.

I also have a biggie drive to chase critters and run, so much that one time I got lost and ran for four days straight spanning 15 miles. That was a little too biggie of an adventure so whatever home adopts me would need to be very careful and keep me on a leash or in a fenced in area at all times. I really love running in biggie circles so a biggie fenced in yard would be really cool, I hope that isn't too biggie of an ask!

I also have a biggie voice and like to use it when I am excited but don't worry, I calm down quick! I am a little timid around new people but give me a few snacks and BAM best friends for life.

If you've ever watched Sesame Street then you know Bert and Ernie are the best of friends. I'm Bert and I'm looking for a bestie!

My first life was that of a breeder and now I'm ready to move on to a life of playing, having fun, and snuggling. Man do I love snuggling! My foster mom is working really hard at teaching me where to go potty. Like I said my first life wasn't the best, so I just went wherever but each day I get a little better at remembering to go potty outside. I love playing with toys, especially if they squeak! I also love stretching out on my back to catch a good nap. I love if I can get someone to rub my belly while I'm all stretched out but if not, don’t worry- I'll come find you to get a good pet. I would love if I could have a friend in the house to play with and teach me how to be a dog. I'm still uncertain about new things but my foster mom says I'm getting braver and braver each day. Lexi here! My foster mom said I just might be the goodest girl around. I'm a five-year-old teddy bear who started my life as a breeder mom, now I just love to play with a good toy and catch an even better nap. I'm a pretty chill girl and well I'm curious about everything I also love a good cozy place to nap. I've become a pro at going potty outside. When I left my old life I needed to have a little surgery on my eye but it has healed up nice but I do have dry eye so my foster mom puts a little drops in and it's good to go! I always sit like a good girl for her to do it.

Whitney is the sweetest soul ever. She wants to be with her people, so much so that she will follow her foster mom from room to room. Sometimes she just peaks her head in just to ensure her foster mom is still there, other times she will curl up on a dog bed in the same room and sleep, knowing her human is close by. And even though she likes to be near her humans, she is ok with it when the human leaves too. Just make sure you come back. 🤗

Whitney will go to the door to be let outside to do her business. She will also follow instructions to go outside when you ask her to. She will also follow instructions to go into her Kennel (with a handful of treats works even better). She walks either behind you or next to you on leash, she is super easy in that she doesn't require much more exercise than a leisurely walk.

Whitney currently resides with a lot of other dogs and a cat with absolutely no issues with any of them.

So here is the thing- With everything absolutely amazing about Whitney, she is looking for an extraordinary human or humans to call her own. They will need to be extraordinary because Whitney spent her entire life not knowing the wonderful feeling of human touch and now that she is experiencing it for the first time at her foster home, she will need humans who understand this and can continue working with her, ensuring her that love and affection are great things.

Her ideal home must have a fenced yard, maybe a retired person or couple looking for a companion in life that will lay outside with them on the porch enjoying a nice evening or lay on a dog bed in the living room while watching TV. A quiet, simple life would be absolutely ideal for beautiful Whitney.

And thank you again to everyone who helped fund his car carrier! Both he and his foster mom LOVE it! It allows her to take Walter everywhere with her safely! 🐾

If you or someone you know has been considering adopting a dog, now is the time to act. Our local shelters are currently at or above their maximum capacity, and rescues and foster homes are overwhelmed with dogs in urgent need of permanent homes. This situation is becoming a nationwide crisis.

Below are just a few of the wonderful dogs available for adoption at the Humane Society of Marathon County, which is currently operating beyond its capacity. We are doing everything we can to assist, but our foster homes are also full. Please consider opening your heart and home to a deserving dog.

The winner of the "Bar Owner dunk tank competition" was Jovani, owner of Patron, with an incredible $1,220 raised for Fetch Foster and Rescue Inc. ! The event was an incredible success, raising a total of over $5,000 for our cause! Thank you so much to Uncommon Pints , all of the donors, dunk tank competitors, and to all who came to support Fetch!

Do you guys remember Crosby? He was one of the pups we saved from the house in Mosinee a few months ago. While he is not quite ready for adoption yet, he is working really hard to get there! He went for a 2.5 mile walk today! This was his first ''real" walk that he wasn't terrified to go on. This may not seem like much, but for a dog that was too terrified to even walk through doors, this is a huge leap! We are so proud of this group of dogs. They have come so far ❤️

A little Saturday morning giggle for you! We tend to just show the glamorous side of fostering. The nice photos, new tricks and accomplishments, the moments that make you want to adopt our pups. Well, thats definitely not always the case! Our buddy Crosby (one of our Mosinee herding mix pups we took in a while ago) gave his foster mom a rude wake up call this morning. Even her ''blanket shield'' wasn't enough of a buffer 😂 Crosby isn't officially available for adoption yet as he is still working on learning to trust his humans, but he is coming a long way! He loves to be near his foster mom and will lay by her in bed or on the couch. He follows her everywhere! He is still scared of being touched, but will get there eventually. Stay tuned for more ''fostering bloopers'' to brighten your day! 🐾

We are just a couple of dog lovers trying to make a difference in the life of one dog at a time. Our vision is one day we won’t need to do this. Not because we don’t love dogs but because we has humans will smarten up and and get responsible with how we handle our companions lives. Each year approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are killed. Please don’t buy or breed and please spay and neuter your pets so we can reduce that number.

Fetch Foster and Rescue’s Mission is “Advocating for shelter dogs through education, rescue, foster, rehabilitation and adoption in an effort to reduce the number of unnecessary pregnancies and those euthanized annually.”
