💢💢 Stray Dog caught in Brentwood 💢💢
Today we recived a call from a gentleman who has been seeing this little dog living in the sump for over a month. He was going through a hole in the fence into his backyard daily in all hours of the night. Teddy went & set a trap, he is now safe & warm at VMCLI- where he will be transferred to Islip animal shelter tomorrow.
Proof of owner ship a must - not microchipped.

❤️❤️ Damien is safe ❤️❤️
🐾This very sweet southern boy escaped during an exchange to go to his new foster, after a long trip from SC. He was running top speed away from all humans 😱 So scared. Damien had been trapped before and we knew it would be tough, so Teddy brought the kennel trap & the box trap.
😇Volunteers from the rescue hung flyers right away (talked to everyone for awareness) and guarded the busy roads to keep him off and away from danger. We were all trying to get this done before the big snowstorm hit. Damien already crossed Waverly, into a neighborhood and after sightings were called in, we found he was staying along a small creek. He was actually seen a few times by us & volunteers walking down the middle of the creek in the freezing water 🥶 Teddy found a good location for the kennel trap along the water, however snow, ice, roots & vines made it all so difficult but got it all done.
🐾 Damien was seen on camera this morning right there at the kennel trap ... and then next he was running back to Waverly. Volunteers were ready and blocking him from the road. While Teddy was driving and searching - he spotted Damien laying down on the other side of a fence, not too far from the kennel trap. Someone came down the road in a truck and spooked Damian away. Volunteers were now covering areas we felt the dog may pop out and trying to keep everyone back. Teddy decided to put the box trap where the dog was resting a little earlier behind the fence ... and Damien came back! He examined all sides of the trap and was so cautious. He went in a little, circled it numerous times, walked off but eventually returned. He was cold, hungry and Teddy prepared this delicious buffet 😋 that he couldn't resist. Damian went in and is safe❣️
We would like to thank Teddy Henn, Lynne Fodale, Charmaine, Karen, Renee, Eddie, the wonderful volunteers from Last Chance Animal Rescue- Lauren, Cat, Lisa, Jeanne, Jeannie, Brian, Debbie, Tara, Kim, Janet, Veronica, Susan, Gail, Michelle, Ally, Jude, Melissa, Pam, Lisa, Beth, Barbara, Christine, Fran, Jenny, Jenny Lynn, Heather, Jeanne, Vanessa, Rebecca, Linds, Paige, Kaitlyn, Michele, Liana, Taylor, Tammy & Bill for driving and walking, the Community of Patchogue and to all that helped 💜

🩷Maggie is Safe ! 🩷
Maggie was at family friend who Maggie knows very well dog sitting her as the owners were away on a 2 week vacation.. . Maggie's leash got unhooked from the collar and she took off running 24 hours ago.
Maggies owners just got home and called asking for help. They were looking all night and extremely worried.
Maggie was a runner with each sighting being miles apart. Karla was on top of All the social media posts about Maggie and giving the sightings to us and the owners as they come wich is critical as each sighting were so far apart.
Charmaine, Lauren, Jody, Ellan and Collen were also out searching.. a sighting came in 2.5 miles away from the previous sighting and we all went there. Teddy and Winston found Maggie hiding behind a garage back behind a church on palaski rd and did not approach. They stayed back and called the owners..when the owners arrived Maggie's owner (momma) slowly approached to 25' away softly called her and tossed her warn socks to her.. Maggie immediately recognized her and walked over to her tail wagging!
It Truely takes a Village!
Thank you Karla Lisa, Teddy Henn & Winston, Charmaine, Colleen, Jody, Ellan, Lauren, and the Community for calling in sightings and of course Maggie's Mom & Dad

🐕 Rocco is safe❗️
❤️You can say it was great teamwork - Chris & Ann (Mom & Dad), Teddy Henn, Charmaine, Karen Ford, Renée, Port Jeff Village Police/Constable and the Community. Early this morning a homeowner on Waterview called in a sighting that Rocco was in their backyard. Chris was driving right there and was able to get there fast and secure him. We had him surrounded with feeding stations and cameras all night, but Rocco was being slick staying and moving through people's backyards. Welcome home Rocco 🐾

❤️❤️❤️❤️Baby is Safe ❤️❤️❤️❤️
🙀 Baby fell out of a very well-intact screened window that was opened for only moments for fresh air. She disappeared and nowhere to be found
🐈Her Mom & Dad (Tori & Matt) were so upset. They stayed home from work and hung flyers, spoke to all the neighbors, searched yards, reported to the microchip company, posted all over, trailed their own scent articles to an open window & door. Cats have a nose like hounds and the owner's scent is key.
✔️ They followed every tip we provided perfectly. We set up cameras (food) covering specific areas of interest and added a feeding station near the deck, which had dirt up to the wood with no real visibility under it. 📷 We prepared Baby's owners for a few different scenarios and went over all of the what-ifs, one being ... what to do if you see your cat. At that point, a faint meow came from the yard and everything fell into place. The owner got closer, went down to the ground (a less threatening position for a cat), tossed a little food and took her hat off too so Baby would recognize her Mom's scent on it. Dad stayed back so Baby didn't feel overwhelmed. After a little coaxing (talking very soft), Baby poked her head out, then came out for her Mom & Dad who was closeby watching. They did great !
😊We'd like to thank Teddy Henn Lynn Fodale Charmaine DeRosa and Tori & Matt 💜 for following all steps. Teamwork !

💚We are so happy to Share Rambo was trapped by Teddy Henn from Long Island Lost Dog Search & Rescue, and Rocco Auterro at 2:30 this morning ‼️
Rambo Slipped out of his collar and ran away from his new foster on Dec 29th.
Rambo was a RUNNER & No sightings after the first couple days. Weeks later a possible sighting came in from a gentleman hiking with his dog, over 8 miles away. Heatseeking droned & confirmed the sighting seeing him running the trail up on the mountain at Hudson Highland Gateway Park.
Rocco set up cameras on the trails & Rambo only showed at the top feedings station & camera, only Coyotes showed at the other cameras.
Teddy came up from Long Island, Rocco’s asked Teddy to come and assist him & bring his extra large Trap.
Trapping Rambo was the up most importance before the snow storm & frigid cold weather that is expected.
The trap was carried all the way up to the top and set where Rambo was hiding…. 25 hours from his last sighting there!!!!
Finally he showed up on our camera‼️
He doing the stretch to reach the bowls🫣we need his back legs in 😱
It was Exhausting and uncomfortable sitting in our vehicles waiting from 7am-2:30 am ..
It was a real nail biter when he showed he wouldn't go all the way in the trap..for over an hour we watched on surveillance Rambo only going in part way then leave, come back, circle the trap and leave over and over until he finally went in at 2:30 am!
We like to thank Rocco Autero, Mike from heatseekers.
The community for sightings and looking out for Rambo.
Special thanks to Rose Delagi for never giving up on Rambo‼️(21 days lost)

💚 We are so happy to report Peppermint has been trapped by Long Island Lost Dog Search & Rescue tonight 💚
🎄Adopted on Christmas Day, Peppermint slipped out of her harness and took off. She was only in her home less than an hour. Her new family was searching and so worried. There weren't any sightings for days ... until today when she was seen running down Montauk Highway into a garden center in Mastic. Her tiny legs took her far, over a mile away from where she escaped.
🐾Teddy quickly put a trap down (with surveillance) in the area last seen and was able to find some paw prints in the snow. We planned for a long night, monitoring the trap and taking shifts. At approximately 6:45 pm Peppermint popped out and followed her nose to the delicious buffet Teddy had trailed & she went in❗️Welcome home Peppermint 💞
Special thanks to - Teddy Henn Charmaine DeRosa and Bidawee's own - Anna Konik & Christian Moscol, Franny Kent and all the volunteers

Hudson is safe ‼️
🐾Hudson was visiting NY for the holidays and escaped the front door. He was so scared, ran from everyone he saw, and ended up running down Jericho Trpk & Elwood Rd on Christmas 😱 He was in survival/flight mode and then went into hiding. Adam (brother) called for help and we went and started our search. After so many sightings at first and then they all stopped.
🐕 Finally, a family on Curtis Ct called to report that Hudson was on their property. When his Mom went to get him, it wasn't so easy. Survival mode hinders an animal's ability to recognize their loved ones by sight, won't respond to their name or even food. They need to smell their scent and owners need to be down low on the ground. Hudson ran into the woods and he then showed up at a home on Vincent Ct and ate the food they put out for a cat. His belly was full and we planned to trap him at that location -but he never returned. It was really late when Charmaine spotted him back on Curtis but once again he disappeared. Teddy brought the trap ready to set ... but then there were sightings of him back on Jericho at a busy intersection. It was a whole day of carefully searching and nothing else was reported. He vanished again and Hudson's Moms and family were so upset.
😊 Finally, after another long day - the same family on Curtis Ct called to say he was back! They stayed back, didn't approach, dropped a little food & kept eyes on him. Teddy went with the trap and based on some of the circumstances, he decided it may be better to have Tulsa (Tully) the sibling dog with them, park a few houses down and have Mom walk him in the area, get down really low and talk soft (a little baby talk) and go in there alone. Jenn (Mom) did everything perfect ! She also let her other dog walk towards Hudson in the brush /ivy (slow enough not to scare him and time to smell him coming). She suddenly heard Hudson crying so loud, and he started jumping for joy so happy to see Tully and so happy to be together again.
❤️ Special thanks to 💜 Tully (our little hero), the family on Curtis Ct that helped and followed advice perfectly to keep Hudson in that location when they spotted him, Teddy Henn, Charmaine, Lauren, Hudson's family (Uncle Adam & Tamur), and so many neighbors in the area that spent their Christmas Day driving, watching out & helping in the search for this scared little dog.
