Sooo…I had a doctors appointment this morning and walked away with good news. My blood panels have been on the rather high side for quite a while and so was my blood pressure. Several months earlier I had a lot of swelling in my feet and into my calves. Went to the doctor with that concern and of course more tests were taken. My doctor couldn’t figure out why I was having all of this swelling, so ordered an ultrasound on my veins. Bingo…the cause of all of this swelling. She referred me to a vascular surgeon who also did more thorough tests and they said that I had two crushed veins and that I needed surgery and stents put in before I had a heart attack or stroke. This all took place the middle of August. A few weeks after surgery I had a follow up appointment with my primary doctor to see how things were progressing. I was feeling lightheaded and a little dizzy, come to find out it was bc my bp was too low. After surgery and getting blood flow moving the way it should, caused it to drop. Good news, I was able to come off my bp meds after surgery. And since that surgery, other things have also been slowly getting better and we’re hoping that I will be able to get off some more of my meds in the future.
