Another great but hard day of hunting IA….
Here’s a classic example of NOT doing the right thing.
This is Josie working. She had just kicked a hen up and I assumed that was it. Two roosters just out of shooting.
This was on me, she was tired today but she’s got this bird hunting mostly figured out at roughly 10 months. She retrieved 2 birds today as well.
Outside of that Marley booted and retrieved a rooster as well. The rest of the dogs did well but the heat was too much. Luckily we have dogs to rotate but still was a hard day for all of us.
We got 5 of 6 birds. Lousy shooting prevented many opportunities for the limit
Scout wanting to get after it he’s tired of waiting
Scout baby at 10 years old still wants it. He’s losing his hearing and starting to go blind but he’s gonna still give you his all. Here he loses it in the flight but with a little directional provoking he finds what ends up being a blind retrieve and brings to hand at a sit.
