After 20 years of working behind a desk and meeting all of the personal and professional goals I had set for myself, the next challenge was born. I am now in full pursuit of happiness. That included asking myself what do I really want to do? It was an easy answer.
I spent my few extra hours volunteering at my local shelter primarily walking dogs. Helping them destress and get out into the world also helped me to destress from my corporate job. I already worked with animals and I knew I loved it. I started thinking about all the times someone asked me if I knew of any long term animal solutions for situations where someone doesn’t want to surrender their well loved pet but is maybe between appropriate housing. Our military can have situations where they are not close to family to help out during a deployment or when moving from base to a home.
Semperbella wants to help keep families and their pets together. From just needing that break in the day for a walk or check in to multiple weeks of boarding, Semperbella wants to open our arms and home to animals who need it.
