Happy Monday everyone. Hope you all had a safe and successful opening hunting weekend. Just a friendly reminder to pick up your medications and food by end of the day Wednesday. As I'm sure you saw our earlier post we will be closed Thursday and Friday this week for the Holiday. Again we appreciate your understanding and hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🦃

Upcoming Holiday Closures

As we head into the Holiday Season, we wanted to let you know about upcoming schedule changes.

We are so grateful for you all year, and especially this time of year as we reflect on all the pets and pet families we have helped. We change our hours and take this time to connect with our own families and recharge so we can continue to offer you the very best for your furry family members. Thank you for your understanding and support year round!

Thanksgiving Closures:
We will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th

Christmas Closures:
We will be CLOSED FOR APPOINTMENTS Tuesday, December 24th, 2024 thru Wednesday, January 1st, 2025.
We will be OPEN to fill medications and prescription food as well as schedule appointments for the New Year. Thursday, December 26 9a-4p; Friday, December 27 9a-4p; Monday, December 30th 9a-4p; Tuesday, December 31st 9a-2p

Happy Friday ya'll! Hope everyone has been having a great week and adjusting to the time change. Remember to keep your fur babies protected with their flea/tick/heartworm preventatives as we still have people finding ticks on their pets. Today is Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day. Lymphoma is one of the most common forms of canine cancer. When our furry friends are suffering from this disease, it's good to know that there are resources out there to keep us informed. National Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day on November 7 is a great way to honor our dogs. The day reminds us to stay vigilant and to check our dogs regularly, so that we can potentially head off any problems before they arise.
Things you should know: It is found in the lymph nodes, spleen, liver, GI tract, and bone marrow. Symptoms usually are enlarged lymph nodes (commonly under the jaw and under the knee), lack of appetite, weakness, skin ulcers, or difficulty breathing. Unfortunately, the cause of lymphoma in dogs is not known. Typically the treatment is chemotherapy, though surgery and radiation are also sometimes used. 🐕‍🦺🐾💜

Dias de Los Mu***os is a traditional Mexican holiday for remembering the lives of family members and pets who have passed. The English translation of Dias de Los Mu***os is Day of the Dead and is celebrated after Halloween from November 1-2nd. So today we ask that anyone who reads this, please take a moment of silence in remembrance of all the loved ones who have crossed over the rainbow bridge. So many tears shed and goodbyes whispered this year at Bobtown. So lets celebrate the ones who are no longer with us and embrace the ones who are. Pets truly are a blessing. 💜🌈

Hey guys I'm back. Happy Monday, hope you all are starting your week off right. Sorry I was MIA last week, I was spending time with my granddaughter who was here visiting from Indianapolis. I would like to you to meet her new kitten Leo! Leo made a stop into the clinic to get his first shots before making his trip home. She was pretty excited to show him off to the girls. He is such a snuggle bug and loves to give kisses. He did great on the 9hr trip back and is adjusting well. 💙

We are rounding out our Veterinary Technician and Staff Appreciation Week with our Client Care Coordinator, Jessica. She has been at Bobtown for 6 months now and completes our team. She is the smiling face that welcomes you and the helpful voice on the phone. She is so much more than that, she is a busy lady helping out wherever she can to make your visit the best possible experience. She has also taken on a lot of our social media posting where you get to hear fun stories and see all our wonderful patients every week. Jessica has 4 dachshunds at home and a few barn cats. She is fixing up a 120 acre farm with her husband. She has 4 adult sons and 2 grandkids that are the light of her life.

Jess, we are so blessed to have you here at Bobtown. You always brighten our days. 💜 Your Bobtown Family
