Song was born and raised at Colorado Mountain Labradoodles. We have the privilege of reuniting after 13 years, and watching her for 2 weeks while her mom and dad are on vacation. She is a sweetheart, and doing remarkable at her age.🥰
Her mom saved her puppy book😁. We are enjoying each other's company and the wonderful weather in California.

Puppy time🥰

15/12/2023

The second week of life brings great changes for the puppies. Ears and eyes sealed since birth begin to open during this period, ears at about two weeks and eyelids between ten to 16 days. This is typically because puppies are born without their brains fully developed unlike other mammals that have longer gestation periods. This gives the furry babies a new sense of their world. They learn what their mother and other dogs look and sound like, and begin to expand their own vocabulary from grunts to yelps, whines, and barks.

We all want our pets protected from life threatening diseases, but your pet may be carrying enough protection from their puppy and kitten shots to last a lifetime?! (Just like your childhood immunizations).

Your pets may not need to be “boosted” at all, and giving more shots to an already-immunized animal is not only a waste of money, but in worst case scenarios, may cause serious immune issues of all types.

Today at 12pm ET in the Inside Scoop, Dr. Gary Richter shares what every pet parent should consider before boosting your dog or cat. Plus other key factors affecting the health and longevity of dogs and cats today: food, exercise, dental health and more.

Time for some homemade treats! These are freeze dried. The light colored treats are a mix of: bananas, peanut butter, yogurt, and probiotics. The others are just a mix of raw beef and pumpkin. Ponyo and Baymax are the current testers. They said the treats are 10/10 👌 😁

"It turns out that pets also have last wills before they die, but only known to vets who put old and sick animals to sleep." Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked a vet what the hardest part of his job was.

The specialist replied without hesitation that the hardest thing for him was seeing how old or sick animals look for their owners before they fall asleep. The fact is 90% of owners don't want to be in a room with a dying animal. People leave so they don't see their animals leave. But they don't realize it's in these last moments of life that their animal needs them the most.

Vets are asking owners to stay close to animals until the end. "It is inevitable that they die before you. Remember that you were the center of their lives. Maybe they were just a part of you. But they are also your family. Even if it's hard, don't give up on them.

Don't let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they don't like. It's very painful for vets to see how pets can't find their owner in the last minutes of their lives. They don't understand why their master left them. After all, they needed the consolation of their master.

Veterinarians do their best to make animals not so scared, but they are totally strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you. Think about the animal. Endure that pain for them. Be with them until the end.💞🙏

Our Story

Welcome to Colorado Mountain Labradoodles! We are a small home-based breeder of quality standard-sized, and medium sized Australian labradoodles. We only breed for the enjoyment of the puppies and to further promote labradoodles that are of excellent health, conformation, and temperament. Our Labradoodle puppies are bred with responsibility and integrity, our goal is to place these special dogs into homes where they will be loved and cherished companions. We stand behind you, and offer continuous support. We do this because we love the dogs, and the Labradoodle breed.

Labradoodles are known for their intelligence, level-headedness, affection, sociability and cheerful disposition. They are loyal, friendly, eager to please, even-tempered, gentle and kind. This combination of traits makes them outstanding service and therapy dogs, as well as terrific family companions. We produce exceptional labradoodles because each litter is carefully planned. We keep two vital factors in mind as we make our selection: temperament and health.

Each puppy born in our home is handled daily. We believe that we literally have the ability to grow our pup’s brain in size and complexity, make our pup smarter, healthier and more confident by providing them the earliest possible exposure to a variety of stimuli. Colorado Mountain Labradoodles utilize early neurological stimulation, as well as the puppy culture method which represents a gold standard in puppy rearing and early socialization. We also use both the Volhard Test and Avidog Evaluation Test to evaluate the temperament of each puppy.

Our exceptional labradoodles are highly intelligent and are simple to train. They quickly learn standard obedience commands, such as sit, down, come and stay. Our labradoodles thrive on being mentally and physically engaged. They love playing and interacting with people and other dogs, especially in games involving chase, fetch or hide-and-seek. Families also find that our labradoodles enjoy participating in competitive canine activities, such as flyball, agility and obedience. As with almost any breed, their socialization and training should start at an early age and continue throughout their life. Our labradoodles share a love of water with their field Labrador and Poodle ancestors and often will enter water without prompting.
