ADOPTED, ADOPTED, ADOPTED!!!
Happy new home for the happy new year. Markey found the absolutely PERFECT home! We searched, and kissed a lot of frogs, and waited a long time until just the right family came along for this darling little guy. We are very patient when it comes to finding adoptive homes for our Barnyard babies and it is always worth the time and effort. Our goal is to find just the right match. These two are a match made in Heaven and we could not be happier. Fabulous life, Markey!

ADOPTED BOY LOVING HIS LIFE!
Poptart is a very lucky guy. He joined a fabulous family and we love getting such beautiful update photos of Barnyard Sanctuary babies. Don't forget, we have lots of fantastic equine who would love to find forever homes too!

RESCUE DOESN'T KNOW HOLIDAYS!
This poor woodpecker was found injured and unable to fly. We arranged for our most amazing volunteer to get the bird to the BEST wildlife rehabber in our area, Andrew! He and his colleagues at the ARK in Port Aransas do rescue right. They restore, repair, rehab, and release them without treating them like pets. We know that this bird is in the right hands.

AND THE COWS SAY
"Yay, the well is working great...let's break a pipe!" Don't you believe the peaceful, pastoral, Christmas farm scenes you see on memes and greeting cards. This is the reality. Throw the breaker on the well because THIS faucet doesn't have a shutoff valve. Make a trip to town to replace the 6 cans of dried up pvc glue you already have and to get that ONE fitting you need but can't find anywhere. Wade in the mud to cut the pipe but then realize you aren't 20 years old anymore and can't open the darned cans of primer and glue without a wrench. Get the thing put back together and pray the line holds. Ah, the holidays at the Barnyard! These little stinkers have no idea how lucky they are.

HO, HO, HO...A VISIT FROM "BIG O!"
Just when it looks like things are in balance and we may even be able to do more for the animals... Our water well decided to take a vacation! This was a HUGE expense but water is the number 1 priority with this many animals. Thank goodness, Big O Well Service got our water flowing again. Happy dang holidays...can't wait to see what's next.
