‼️‼️Hi all…this female stray dog has been lost since July 2 in Watertown 😭 There has been many sightings but nothing for the past 3 days. She will not come up to anyone even if she doesn’t look scared. There are wonderful volunteers that are working on signs and fliers. If you see this dog, please call or text the number with the location and what direction the dog was heading. Please do not post the sightings on Facebook. DO NOT CHASE, YELL, OR APPROACH! Once she is consistently coming to a food station, we will work on trapping her. Please share with friends in Watertown!

"Death follows minutes to hours after exposure to a small amount of this toxin." As the weather gets hotter, ponds can start to have "algae blooms." The water itself can look like pea soup, or like green paint is spread on the surface of the water. Sometimes it is not visible at all. Some of these blooms are cyanobacteria, which can produce potent toxins. Dogs are exposed when they wade in the water and either drink the water directly, or lick it off themselves when they come out. There is no antidote; treatment is supportive and many dogs don't survive. If you believe your dog has been exposed, bathe him immediately. If he has any symptoms, bring him right in to a veterinarian. See comments for more information about signs and treatment. (Most ponds that look like this are not dangerous, but it is not possible to tell which ones are toxic and which ones aren't except by having the water tested; If in doubt, keep pets out.) 1. Host a Doggie Valentine’s Day Photo Shoot
Break out the festive props like tutus, wings, headbands and backdrops for a special photoshoot with your pet. Arm yourself with plenty of treats to get their attention and cute poses. Take things up a notch by getting semi-professional with lighting and filters. Set up for the perfect capture by having them sit, stay, smile or offer a high-five or paw shake. You’ll cherish these memories and photos for years to come.

2. Bake Heart-Shaped Treats Together
Cooking up homemade goodies with your dog by your side is a delightfully delicious activity. Let your sous chef lick the bowl clean after. Consider baking a bigger batch to share with other pets or local shelters too. The treats will be extra special knowing they were made with love and sampling from your furriest family member.

3. Play Fun Games for Prizes
Set up a game zone in your home or yard to get your dog’s brain going and bring smiles all around. Try playing “red light, green light” by calling out colors, and rewarding with treats when they stop and go. As we reflect on 2023, we’ve had some highs and some lows. No doubt, you also. It’s been a quiet year for us. Our personal loss was the hardest, and I still struggle with it every day. Lucy and Lily, our inspiration for Pawsatively Sweet, will be forever missed.

But our bright spots are you and your pets! Thank you for letting us be part of your lives and sharing with us your joy. We love the stories , the love and celebrating your milestones with you with each creation.
