This little cutie was extremely shy when we rescued her from a hoarding situation but with the help and support of some amazing fosters, she’s finally come out of her shell and is ready for her own loving home. Sweetheart is ready for a loving family of her own! She really lives up to her name sake and is one of the sweetest, most loyal dogs out there. She’s around 2 years old and just under 50lbs. She absolutely loves watching her people with her adoring eyes and is a great companion. She’ll love to go on walks and also snuggle up on the sofa. 🎆WE HAVE SOME VERY EXCITING AND HAPPY NEWS🎆

Lu did it! She finally gave birth very early this morning starting at 12:23 AM. Lu took her sweet time delivering her 5 perfectly beautiful puppies….over 17 hours. They were worth every anxious minute. 3 chubby males and 2 chubby females. Great job Lu and cheers to her over the top foster

These adorable sweet treats are so ready for homes of their very own. Gumdrop is approximately 19 weeks old and she’s just one of the best puppies around. She’s a pit mix with the sweetest demeanor. She’s now pretty much potty trained and crate trained. She’s chill but also loves to play and is a great hiking buddy. She’s great with other dogs and has helped her timid foster sister come out of her shell. Cookie Butter is roughly about 13/14 weeks old now and we believe he’ll be around medium size full grown. We’re heartbroken to share the news that Vinny crossed the rainbow bridge. He started to decline last night/early this morning and the vet found that fluid/blood was building around his heart. He was on medication for his Megaesophagus but it just wasn’t working the way it should. The vet thinks he may have also had a hole in his heart. He was clearly the product of terrible backyard breeding. It makes us livid at the people who did this to make a few bucks and we wish more than anything we could find out where he came from. Vinny had such a will to live which makes this even more difficult, but his body just couldn’t keep up.

We’re so grateful that Dr. Chow at ASEC squeezed him. We couldn’t have asked for a better vet to manage his care over the last few days. We’re also forever grateful to his wonderful foster . She sent us Vinny via text a few days ago asking if we could help and sprang into action to bust him out of the shelter. She drove all over LA, often multiple times a day, just to snuggle with him for a bit. He had very clearly chosen her as his “person” and was always so excited to see her when she’d visit. He obviously felt great comfort in her arms and that’s exactly where he got to be when he crossed.

Thank you SO MUCH to every single person who donated. It’s really touched us to see how many people loved Vinny as much as we did and we were able to give Vinny the absolute best shot at life possible because of you. Whether it was $1, $5, $50… every.single.dollar. made such a huge difference in his life. He knew love when he left this world and we’re so glad we were able to give that to him.

‼️Fosters or adopters needed! The “pet cemetery” litter is ready to leave the nest! They’re about 10 weeks old now, and 7 puppies is a lot for one person to manage. East Coast Friends!!! Martin is still available!! This handsome boy is wishing for nothing more than to spend the new year with his forever family! He has a very sweet and goofy personality and loves cuddles with his people. He truly has a heart of gold. At almost 10 months old, Martin weighs about 65 pounds right now. Martin is excellent with other dogs and also good with kids and cats. His amazing foster has been taking him to training so he knows sit, down, stay, and place. He is also working on fun tricks like spin and will also start scent work soon. Martin is also crate trained and potty trained. Vinny (and we) have had a crazy couple of days and we’re back to give everyone an update and beg/plead/humbly request more help for this sweet soul.

Vinny has been hospitalized since Friday morning. He’s overall been stable, and we are so grateful that we were able to get him in with one of the best specialists we could have asked for him to see today. Vinny currently has pneumonia and we’re working through meds to see if we can stabilize his Megaesophagus. It’s a lot for him, for us, for everyone, but we really felt we needed to help him fight to get to today. It’s SO rare and hard to find doctors that are familiar with this disease, and we know he’s now being treated by the absolute best doctor for him. Vinny’s life depends on us giving him a few more days in the care of this team. We are already in the red from what we’ve raised and have to raise more to keep him in the hospital. So, we’re here…. begging/pleading/humbly asking for your support once again. Vinny has been failed by so many people in his short life. The breeders who irresponsibly bred his parents for profit. The shelter who neutered him too young exacerbating his Megaesophagus. We can’t let this guy go until we know we’ve done everything in our power for him. Introducing Reggie! The most adorable, loyal little companion ever! Reggie is just around 2 years old and almost completely potty trained and crate trained. 🚨🚨UPDATE ON VINNY!🚨🚨

Vinny was able to go home after his ER visit last night and we were planning to book an appointment with an internal medicine specialist in coming days/week, but after a long night we made the decision to send him back to the ER this morning. He wasn’t able to keep a single drop of food or water down and is immediately regurgitating everything, including all of his medications. With him having penumonia and how malnourished and weak he is (he weighs 12 lbs, most doberman puppies his age weigh 20-30), he just has more medical than can be remedied in a foster home.

After his exam with the ER at VCA ASEC vet we’re feeling very concerned. They recommended we hospitalize him today through tomorrow, which will allow him to then be seen by the specialists for his megaesophagus (which is what is likely causing him constantly regurgitating). As you can see his estimate for hospitalization is…. insane. But we committed to Vinny and we will do everything in our power to make sure that he gets the best shot possible. Vinny is sweet, affectionate and so badly wants to have the energy to be the puppy he should be right now. We REALLY want to give him the fighting chance, but we have to raise more money for him. His “low” estimate for care through tomorrow is $6,170.23 so we at the very least have to raise that to cover his initial care. This won’t include any potential surgeries or ongoing vet care he is going to need. We’re so grateful for all of the help we’ve already received but we’re here humbly asking for more donations for Vinny. We accept via Venmo or Paypal (both linked in our bio). Meet Sparky 💛 & Scruffy 🩶

These darling brothers found themselves dumped at the shelter just in time for Christmas so we scooped them up and found them a foster. They are now ready for adoption. Sparky 💛 and Scrappy 🩶 appear to be Terrier/Schnauzer mixes, are about 9 weeks old and are both just shy of 9 pounds. Please apply to adopt one of them through our website muttscouts.org

We lost one of our parvo golden puppies 💔💔but 2 survived the fight. They’re now looking for a foster NOW so they can leave the vet and continue to heal their bodies. These guys should only go to homes with yards, as only dogs or with young, healthy, vaccinated dogs as they are shedding the disease. They are so sweet and have had such a devastating start to life. We are fairly certain that Happy would be voted Class Clown if that was a thing in dog rescue. This guy was dumped at the shelter matted, covered in urine and f***s and mad at the world. Now he is all cleaned up, is living large with his foster and he smiles constantly.

Happy is a 17 pound Poodle Mix and we are guessing 8-10 years old. He has a few worts and other imperfections but is otherwise healthy. Happy smiles the most when he has a tennis ball 🎾.

Are you looking for the most perfect, goodest boy? Then look no further and ADOPT Hughie! Hughie is roughly around 2 years old and he’s already potty trained and crate trained. He’s a little timid at first especially around men but he warms up quickly. He gets along great with dogs, kids and even seems to be ok with cats. He likes to go for walks, play with his foster siblings and snuggle up with his foster parents. When he’s warn himself out he’ll take himself to his crate for a rest.
