Our Story
Over 20 years of pet experience and over 100 5/5-star reviews on Rover. My native language is "doglish", so whether it’s a walk, overnight stay, or just a check-in with potty break and playtime, your dog will be safe and comfortable with me while you’re away.
First, I listen to your dog. I am trained in dog body language and other forms of communication. Time as a veterinary assistant, dog groomer, assistance dog trainer, shelter volunteer, dog walker/sitter, and dog park regular, have made me fluent in "dog". I will set your dog at ease and create a home away from home. Next, I will listen to what you need. I am happy to provide regular text updates with pictures anytime! Being a pretty particular dog owner myself, I will be committed to following your exact instructions down to the smallest detail (Gluten free? Special training techniques? No problem!) I am able to do anything from potty breaks to 10 mile hikes, and overnights at my place or yours. My partner and I are both dog lovers and our two dogs and cat will love to share the fenced in yard! Your pet will never have to be alone during their fun, funky vacation in my large, 3 bedroom West Asheville home! Conveniently located in the Ewana neighborhood, near Haywood Road. Your dog will have fun hanging out in the backyard overlooking the French Broad River, going for long walks to French Broad River Park (or short walks around the neighborhood, if they prefer), and getting more belly rubs than they'll know what to do with. My house is large enough for any pet to have their own space if they need it. If they like company, my two dogs will provide plenty of play time!
