⏰🏡🐾 URGENT: Thanksgiving Foster Needed for Lucius 🐾🏡⏰

Lucius has a great foster home in Norfolk but they are hosting a family dog who is not dog friendly over Thanksgiving so Lucius has to find another foster during that time, most likely from November 21st until November 28th.

Lucky Lucius left the Rocky Mount shelter on the very day he was scheduled to be euthanized—and what a happy day that turned out to be! This cheerful boy hasn’t stopped wagging his tail since. Lucius is delighted to meet anyone and everyone, always greeting new friends with enthusiasm.

He reportedly tested well with other dogs at the shelter and is non-reactive when meeting new canine companions, large or small. At just three years old, Lucius is a young adult ready to begin a wonderful new chapter in life. His caretaker reports that he appears to be housebroken and politely waits to go outside to do his business.

Lucius enjoys spending time in the yard and will happily entertain himself when left alone. He’s also an excellent travel companion—he hops in and out of the car with ease and loves going for rides.

If you’re looking for an affectionate, family-friendly dog with a joyful spirit, Lucius may be your perfect match. He’s not only uniquely handsome but also full of sweetness and personality.

Lucius is fully vaccinated and will be neutered and microchipped once he finds a foster or adoptive home. He weighs about 46 pounds.

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Lucius, please email [email protected] or text 757-630-6181. You’ll be surprised at how well he carries on a conversation!

Here is Hobart again, with pictures this time! 🤞🤞

Hobart is a handsome 5-year-old, 65-lb hound/heeler mix. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative—ready for his forever home! This smart boy comes with a great foundation: he’s crate trained, housebroken, e-collar trained, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and gets along with most other dogs (especially larger ones). Hobart will thrive in a home without kids, cats, or other small animals.

He is a loyal companion with a big, endearing personality. Hobart loves going for walks and would make an excellent adventure partner. Thanks to his e-collar training, his recall is solid, and he enjoys exploring the outdoors just as much as he loves winding down with his people. He’s affectionate but also appreciates having his own space to relax and recharge.

Some of Hobart’s favorite activities include playing with chew toys and enjoying a good game of tug with anyone willing to join in. In the home, he is an absolute gentleman—trustworthy, non-destructive, and perfectly content even when left uncrated.

Hobart would do best with an active individual or couple who is willing to continue providing structure, consistency, and training. He may not be the dog you take to bustling breweries or busy coffee shops, but he is the perfect companion for quiet trails, outdoor adventures, and a calm, structured home life. A fenced yard would be the cherry on top—giving him the freedom he loves.

Hobart’s only challenge is occasional resource guarding, which unfortunately led to an incident with the toddler in his former home. With the right environment and owners who understand his boundaries, Hobart will flourish. He is a bright, loving dog who who deserves a home where he can be cherished as the wonderful companion that he is.
