Meet precious little Malone! Malone is a young playful boy. He’s just 37 lbs and HW neg. Gets along with everyone. He is 12 months old. He's a beautiful and sweet Pocket Boy. He is joyful innocent puppy who loves every doggie and cats too. He will respond to love affection and direction. Very adorable and trainable.

He is healthy and fully vetted. He is a very sweet, gentle and affectionate boy and a bit shy and seems to be a rather smart pup as well. Malone is a Tarboro, North Carolina Dog and presently boarding in Sedley, VA.

Meet Parker! This absolutely gorgeous boy is waiting patiently for his new family, he's been waiting 8 months in boarding where his chances of being "discovered" are slim. This brindle boy, a Pittie/terrier mix is approximately 2 years old and 70 lbs, he is gentle and kind, a sweet soul, and the favorite of his boarding mom. He is neutered, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated, ready to bring sweetness to your home! He is quiet and clean in his crate, we believe he was someone's pet and house trained. Champ is a very handsome male dog, young happy and dog and people friendly! We don't know about cats or children though is social behavior would suggest he would enjoy kids. Given his size older kids are best but with a dog savvy home he'd be great. He's athletic and would love a fenced area to run, most of all he'd just be happy to have a home of his own, he's been in boarding many months with no chance to be discovered.

Last but not least in our puppy parade, here comes Miss Maggie! Maggie is one of Beatrice's 8 puppies born on December 3. Like her siblings, she has been working really hard on her potty training and basic commands, and she would love to find her forever home. Maggie is very inquisitive, she loves to explore, and adores being the center of attention, receiving praise and cuddles. While her dad is unknown, mom has the look of a mini black and white lab/Brazilian terrier so we think the puppies won't grow into very big dogs (mom is right around 30 pounds). This gorgeous girl is Honey, one of Beatrice's 8 puppies born on December 3. She has been working really hard on her potty training and basic commands and she would love to find her forever home. Honey has the most gorgeous eyes and she absolutely loves cuddles. One of her favorite spots is on the couch right next to her foster dad! Introducing Boston, touted as one of the sweetest and most well-mannered dogs you'll ever meet! LIke his dad Cash, he has been described as exceptional with perfect manners that stood out among the nearly 200 dogs at the shelter. (His shelter description is at the bottom of this post.) The rescue coordinator was very eager to get Boston rescued because he was such a good dog. And his caretaker thinks that he is housebroken as well. Boston travels well in a vehicle but also enjoys walks with his humans and playing with his dad Cash.

Boston is six years old, about 48 pounds, neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative. As you can see below, Boston was listed at the shelter as a Catahoula/Lab blend and he looks like he may have a few bully breed genes as well. But whatever his breed(s), he is a delightful dog who would love to be in a home environment where he would flourish. Boston will make an excellent family addition because of his sweet disposition. He tested very well with other dogs at the shelter and while we don't have much information on his background, his gentle demeanor suggests that he would also be good with children. Listed as the "sweetest dog ever" at the shelter!

Roxie’s story is heart-wrenching yet inspiring—she’s a true testament to resilience and the power of love and care. This 8-year-old Husky/Lab mix (DNA Tested) has overcome incredible odds and deserves a home that will cherish her for the beautiful soul she is.

After enduring severe neglect that led to health challenges, Roxie has made remarkable progress. She came to us with multiple skin and ear issues that left her bald and terribly infected. Her infections have healed, she has a wonderful new coat, and she’s gained much-needed weight. She was left kenneled without food and water and she attempted to pry her way out with her teeth. So she has irreparable kidney damage and had to have 13 damaged teeth removed. Then add having a heartworm-positive status to that. Despite all that – she has had her treatment, has been spayed and is healthier and happier than ever.

Roxie is the ultimate companion—playful, affectionate, and full of life. She adores car rides, stuffed toys, and playing fetch (even if retrieving isn’t her strong suit!). Her warm demeanor extends to everyone she meets, from people to other animals, including her friend Chester the cat. She even talks to you in her unique way, spreading joy and positivity.

Adopting Roxie means embracing her health needs with the understanding that her time may be limited, but her love is boundless. She requires a special diet but is otherwise doing fantastic! Her foster family is willing to sponsor her medical expenses, easing the financial commitment for her future family. As long as she stays healthy, she can live out her years with her conditions.

Fancy Pants is a lively and affectionate 5-year-old female Standard Grey Poodle with an irresistible bounce! This energetic girl is already house-trained, knows how to sit on command, rides well in the car, and even entertains herself by tossing her own toys.
Fancy originally came from a breeder in rural Virginia but was found by animal control wandering the streets with a young pup. Though she was microchipped, her owner admitted he had given her away and no longer had use for her. Left unclaimed, Fancy was brought into foster care, where she’s now thriving and looking for her perfect forever home.
While Fancy is curious about the resident cat, she responds well to being told to be gentle. She can be a bit protective when other dogs approach, but she quickly relaxes once she feels secure. It's hard to understand how these beautiful dogs who are good with other dogs, cats and humans end up in high kill shelters, but so many do... like pretty Kandy here. She was pulled from the Bladen County shelter in NC after being tagged for euthanasia-and she's a great save! Kandy is only a year old, but she's very smart and is indeed good with other dogs and even cats. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and ready for her forever home but would be delighted with a good foster home at this point. She weighs about 44 pounds and is very affectionate and sweet. She will make an excellent pet, whether temporary or long term! The rescue will provide a dog crate, dog food, collar, leash and anything Kandy will need during foster care.

Dashiell luckily made it out of the Duplin County shelter in NC and what a fine day that was! He's just a young husky/Australian Shepherd mix between one and two years old and weighing about 45 pounds. He definitely needed a chance at life! He's as sweet as he is handsome and had a sterling reputation at the shelter, being described as very friendly and affectionate.
He is also good with other dogs and loved playing with them at the shelter. He rides well in a vehicle (and a plane) and seems very well-behaved. Please say hello to Hardy! He hails from the Lee County shelter in Sanford, NC, and he's so grateful to have a chance at a new life now! He's a little over a year old and weighs about 45 pounds. And if you're looking for a jogging or hiking companion, he would love to take you up on that! Hardy tested well with other dogs at the shelter and gives frequent kisses to his humans. He is housebroken and crate trained and would love his own fenced yard in which to run and play! If you're up for a game of fetch, he will gladly oblige!
So if you'd like to add a little fun to your life, then you may want to consider Hardy. He will make you smile! He's fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative.
