Sometimes we receive animals who need some extra medical attention we just can't provide for here at the shelter. Today, we are thankful that Indiana Bulldog Rescue was able to take our sweet Sammy into their organization and get him all of the medical care he needs while relaxing in a foster home instead of a kennel at the shelter. Sammy was the sweetest guy and behaved so well for his freedom ride today. Happy new beginnings Sammy!

Do you have a full house? Can't adopt, but would love to help our animals find forever homes or rescues?

We are in need of help to replenish our Animal Medical Fund. By donating to our Medical Fund, you help animals like those in this post find homes and rescues by providing them with medical care above and beyond what animal control can normally provide. Sometimes the care needed is simple, like treating an ear infection. Other times, we need help with surgical procedures like mass removals, dental cleanings or tooth extractions. Sometimes it can even be as serious as a stray coming in that has been hit by a car or injured some other way.

Read about the pets who our medical fund has helped this year in the photo descriptions. They couldn't have made it out of the shelter and into loving homes without that safety net.

If you would like to donate to our Animal Medical Fund, please follow the link below, and select donation, donation type: Medical Fund. OR stop by and visit us at the shelter!

The animals and staff thank all of our donors and the community for adopting, donating, and sharing our posts. We appreciate it more than you know!

*UPDATE: LBP FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME 🥰 ADOPTED!!!*

Meet the most wonderful lump of a dog, LOADED BAKED POTATO. Loaded Baked, or LBP for short, is an adorable little guy who is suspected to be some sort of a Bully and English Bulldog mix. We think he is in the ballpark of 6 years old. He is a handsome and friendly boy who enjoys attention from people, belly scratches, etc. He does well with other dogs for the most part here at the shelter. LBP recently was neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for for a skin infection and will likely have some chronic allergy/skin issues that may need to be taken care of due to his breed mix. He might be fine long term but want new owners to consider the possibility of concerns with the skin long term before committing to adopting him. His adoption fee is $120 and includes all of the medical above. He looks much better than when he arrived to us and is such a good boy. He can't wait to meet you!
