Hello pet parents,
I am looking for doggie friends for my golden retriever so I thought I'd try Rover and a page out opposed to getting another dog at this time. I've had several animals over the years and I've come to fully appreciate the love from dogs and cats more as I get older. I have over 20 years of dog caring experience from the little dudes and dudettes all the way up to the bi
g boys and girls. Before Cessy, my dog world was with a 9 1/2 year old german shepherd who was the best dog a person could ever ask for. A protector of all sorts he was and he reminded me so much of Jerry Lee from the movie K-9. His senior years were a bit tough with his hip and leg but he managed to bring a lot to his world and mine. I do have experience with senior dogs. My shepherd was a senior, I cared for a female senior terrier up to age 15 and I also had a pom pom terrier who had cancer for many years up until age of 9. He was not good at meds but I found a way to get them in. Don't worry, I don't feed animals home cooked meals. I currently have a senior cat, 17, who is really good with all types of dogs. He has lived with dogs his entire life but at first he will be a bit scared and will stay away until he's use to the dog being around. It took him about a month to warm up to Cessy. Also have 4 guinea pigs who have their own room downstairs with a door so no pooches can get in. Cessy loves them but I couldn't trust her if the guineas were on the floor. So all four have their own homes separated and they've been here for 3 years! Meds: I don't have issues giving meds to senior or healing dogs but full instructions on how to administer are a must for me. I have my own vehicle which allows me to pick up and drop off the pooches if needed. You can visit my new page for the doggy daycare information, pictures and videos under the username: pookerjams. All my bookings must go through Rover and will not be allowed through FB but Facebook is used to share pictures and videos of the happenings at the doggy daycare!
