In my main job I work in water politics for farmers and ranchers. Up until a few weeks ago we were all starting to panic a bit. Colorado is a snowmelt dominated hydrology. Every water provider makes their plans based on the snow pack because that is the majority of our supply. Most cities can get through one or two years of drought because they have one thing that can save water from one year to the next: reservoirs. However, most farmers and ranchers in the state rely entirely off the snowpack and what it brings. The past few weeks have been a a relief. Most basins are close to 100% of normal snowpack and snow water equivalent right not. But it’s still early. A warm March or April can easily eliminate a good portion of the snowpack before we even need it.

Gaku Homma was the chef of the restaurant Domo in Denver. He recently sold the place but may open it again. My radish dealer (Hanae) is a friend of his and sold him a bunch of my daikon radishes! These are pictures of what he made! I have no clue what they are, but they sure are pretty :)
