‘Giving Tuesday’ is Tomorrow, and in the past several years Feral Cat Focus has given away TNVR appointments to caregivers.
This year in July we started ‘Tips for 10’ with the collaboration of Operation PETS; the Spay/ Neuter Clinic.
That program entailed a greater subsidy from Feral Cat FOCUS and additional de-worming medication for 1,133 that came through the doors during the ‘Tips for 10’ at Operation PETS.

2,699 feral cats have been altered during the 2024 season.

83 emergency and medical services were provided for feral cats this 2024 season

99 kittens born of feral moms went on to adoption agencies.
Approximately 2.5 tons of food was purchased by Feral Cat FOCUS and donated to the feral/free roaming cats in need!

Financial help is needed for the feral cats for 2025 so that we can continue the work we are doing, if you can donate, please go to the link below.

IMPORTANT: Even if done with proper protocol, relocation can be ineffective and even dangerous for cats. Community cats bond to their outdoor homes and, if relocated, may try to find their way back. In some cases, cats have died in the process. Keep this firmly in mind before deciding that a cat’s...

Today is World Spay Day!

It's an annual day of awareness celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of February!

World Spay Day advocates for the spay and neuter of animals - both companion and community - in order to prevent animal homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia in shelters.

Actress and activist Doris Day created the first ever World Spay Day in 1995! It has been observed ever since by the Doris Day Animal League, and now The Humane Society of the United States.

Give all the cats (and dogs) you care for the life they have dreamed of by making sure they are spayed or neutered (and vaccinated).

Sponsor a spay/neuter surgery for $50 so FFF can continue to help unowned feral/stray community cats get spayed/neutered and vaccinated so they can live happier, healthier lives.

Feral Cat Focus

Feral Cat FOCUS was founded in 2003 by a group of dedicated volunteers who were concerned about the feral cat overpopulation problem in Western New York. From 2003 through 2010, approximately 6,000 feral cats were examined, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated at our clinics. This has prevented the birth of unwanted litters of kittens and allowed for socialized cats and kittens to be adopted into a home environment. Feral Cat FOCUS also has volunteers who educate caregivers about the necessity of proper care for feral cats, answer telephone inquiries via our hotline, and loan humane traps.

Feral Cat FOCUS partners with Operation PETS: The Spay/Neuter Clinic of Western New York. This Clinic provides the spay/neuter services for the feral cats.

Develop and promote safe, nonlethal, and humane control programs for free roaming cats. Provide education about the necessity and benefits of the humane management of feral and stray cats. Encourage individuals to implement feral cat Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return (TNVR) programs in their neighborhoods. Provide information to community members about the humane trapping of feral cats. Disseminate information to feral cat caregivers regarding the proper, long term management of felines in feral cat colonies. Feral cats are to have access to food, water, shelter, and appropriate medical treatment. Arrange for veterinarians to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and provide other medical care for feral cats. Attempt to rehome or arrange for the adoption of any socialized, stray cats, or kittens that are caught during the trapping process.

From 2003 through 2010, approximately 6,000 feral cats were examined, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated at our clinics.
