Though time consuming and exhausting, there was still more work to be done.

On April 2, 2012, a group of seasoned rescuers united, in memory of an animal lover, Justin Bartlett, who tragically lost his life at a young age, and formed the Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue. Through the knowledge base of these rescuers, their long volunteer “hands-on” hours, common sense and research driven processes, together they built the largest foster based rescue in the county, saving an

average of a thousand animals each year, established a fleet of two adoption shuttles and a mobile unit, as well as launched them the county's first rescue magazine, "Rescue Tails." Due to the dire need for low cost veterinary care in the community, on May 28, 2015, the Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital was founded! To date, the hospital has served over 50,000 patients, and performed over 8,000 spay/neuter surgeries, some on our mobile surgical unit, within specific economically disadvantaged areas, at no cost to the public.

Big thank you to Evelyn & Arthur in Manalapan for hosting a wonderful event to support our rescue! 🐾 We are so grateful for their generosity, giving 10% of the day’s proceeds to help us continue our mission.

Our adorable 2-month-old terrier mix puppies—Viking, Vulcan, and Viper—were the stars of the day, soaking up snuggles and socializing with everyone. They’re now ready for adoption and looking for their forever homes! 💕

Their beautiful mom, V***n, is also with us. She needs a foster while going through heartworm treatment. No other dogs in the home because she has to stay calm through treatment.

Meet Dahlia 🌸 When she first arrived, her condition was heartbreaking—emaciated, sick, and barely holding on. It was clear she had been through unimaginable suffering. Our team at Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital worked around the clock to save her, and against all odds, she pulled through.

Now, Dahlia is healthy and finally getting the love she’s always deserved in a foster home. But her time there is running out—her foster family can’t keep her much longer. Dahlia needs a forever home to ensure her second chance at life doesn’t end in heartbreak.
