Though time consuming and exhausting, there was still more work to be done.
On April 2, 2012, a group of seasoned rescuers united, in memory of an animal lover, Justin Bartlett, who tragically lost his life at a young age, and formed the Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue. Through the knowledge base of these rescuers, their long volunteer “hands-on” hours, common sense and research driven processes, together they built the largest foster based rescue in the county, saving an
average of a thousand animals each year, established a fleet of two adoption shuttles and a mobile unit, as well as launched them the county's first rescue magazine, "Rescue Tails." Due to the dire need for low cost veterinary care in the community, on May 28, 2015, the Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital was founded! To date, the hospital has served over 50,000 patients, and performed over 8,000 spay/neuter surgeries, some on our mobile surgical unit, within specific economically disadvantaged areas, at no cost to the public.

🚨 We’re in urgent need of supplies! Our rescue is asking for donations of paper towels, kitchen garbage bags, 50-gallon garbage bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, and Fabuloso (floor cleaner). Every donation helps us care for our animals. 🐾 You can drop them off at Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital any day from 9 AM to 5 PM. Thank you for your support! ❤️

When Oakley’s (formerly Levy) new owner lost her dog last March, she knew another dog would eventually come into her life, but the journey wasn’t easy. Now, this sweet boy has brought joy back into her world, and she hopes she's done the same for him.
