Legacy Outpost Kentucky (GLOK), a 501(c)3 non-profit entity, and Serenity Counseling, LLC, several Certified therapeutic programs are offered at our facilities to combat the high su***de rates among these demographics. Programs such as Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) are directed at the following mental and behavioral health disorders: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), and Suicidal Tendencies.

Renegade Ranch is a new, clean, attractive, and safe horse boarding and training facility, that strives for excellence in horse care and gives opportunity for horse owners to build a more intimate relationship with their horse. By providing a comfortable environment, people of all backgrounds will find this a warm and friendly place to create long-lasting relationships with other people and the horses they love. During certain hours on specific days, Renegade Ranch opens their new, highly illuminated 100’x200’, fabric-covered, indoor riding arena to the residents of Hardin County, as well as surrounding counties, for their use. Equine enthusiasts, 4-H clubs, school clubs, first-responders (police/fire/EMS/rescue squads), and veterans may utilize the arena for training and/or therapy for a reduced price or free – especially useful during inclement weather. It is our goal to further expand our services to forge a working partnership with CASA and local foster care facilities by providing these agencies with presentable options for the children they oversee – reassuring these children that “Good” does exist and is attainable, regardless of circumstances. In addition, we will be expanding our services to include victims of domestic, alcohol, and drug abuse. By continuing to rescue equine in need, Renegade Ranch will continuously provide GLOK with different horses to ensure their mission is accomplished as well. The use of different horses allows for each session to target the individual’s needs and behaviors. Their Warrior to Warrior Program (W2W) will pair a qualified, rescued horse with a qualified veteran with the intent that the veteran will complete the necessary training for the horse to be rehabilitated mentally, emotionally, and physically – with the hope that the sense of purpose would provide a mission for the veteran and equine duo. This win-win scenario not only helps the veteran, but increases the likelihood of the newly trained equine being more marketable and adopted to its loving, “furever” home.
