Haven’t updated this page in a while.
For starters:
Rolling hills took a year break from breeding (following our 2022 c**t) and we are starting back up with this breeding season. Our mares are better than ever but as we change directions with our intentions we decided a year off was best.
Recently Jake has gotten more and more questioning about the farrier services we provide, to all questioning, the answer is yes, he is opening his doors to more clientele and is excited for this journey.

Now that she is home and settled in, we would like to introduce the newest addition to the RHB Family.
Indian Creek Tammie is a yearling Belgian filly out of Whispering Winds Freedom who sold for $20,000 as a three year old stud at Gordyville. We are excited to bring this mares build, attitude, and conformation into our program.

Jake has been busy lately tending to shoes. Whether we have a show season or not, "no foot, no horse". Making sure our horses feet are well kept is a priority and we know Jake will keep after them! Here is a video of dixie fresh after getting her new shoes on today!

Lots of work getting done recently! Shoes are on a hold to see if we will actually have a show season, but the training doesnt stop! Our breaking mare has had her work cut out for her for the past couple months but we are glad to have her. Shes been putting our three-year-old KorrysCaptain granddaughter to the test and we are extremely please with her progress!

Today, we lost an icon, maybe not in a halter class, in the show ring, or in the field, but to our farm. For the past few days we have delt with complications with Judy's age, she tried so hard but it was her time. For many many years she has been known by lots from our local fair, for years we have heard "how old is she now?" "Shes getting up there isnt she?" and finally it has shown. For 18 years she showed at laporte county, she taught kids to drive, she was steady for anyone ready to learn, and most of all, she showed everyone love who came by. Judy, you will forever be a member of our family, and you will be missed greatly❤.

Loving this weather! Spring training has started for the youngin and trying to slowly bring the old lady back into step! Can you tell who is who?

Fall/winter conditioning has started! Shoes pulled, barn full of hay, grain stored, harness is hung, but the work continues! We will really start focusing getting the younger mares stamina built up this winter, plowing the snow and pulling the tire everyday. We hope everyone has a good winter and holiday season to come!

Our 4-H'er, Eliot Rotering, working on getting his hours up to par and helping us get some work done with young Dixie!
