VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 🙌🏼

Keepers of the Fluff: Paula Hurst!

Paula is a two year veteran of Keepers of the Fluff! Originally from Wichita, Paula moved to Oklahoma to be closer to grandkids. One day she saw a Facebook post looking for cat volunteers for an organization she had never heard of and answered the call! Paula is a faithful volunteer that serves every week and never hesitates to pick up shifts when needed. She loves loving on all the HQ resident fluffs that come through as if they were hers. We are so appreciative of Paula and all that she gives to SPACAR! Thank you, Paula!

✨🐾 Katsuki – The last little hero of his litter! 🐾✨

This 3 ½ month old white-bibbed cutie patootie is as handsome as he is sweet. Katsuki and his siblings were rescued from a ditch, and while his brothers and sisters have already found homes, this little guy is still waiting for his happily ever after. 💙

Katsuki is super socialized and would be a great fit for most families — he currently lives with cats, dogs, and kids and gets along wonderfully with them all. He’s playful, curious, cuddly, and always ready for attention. Whether he’s chasing toys, zooming through the room, or curling up for a nap, Katsuki is guaranteed to make you smile.

His adoption fee includes neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, combo test (negative), and treatment for fleas, ticks, and internal parasites.

😼 Brinkley is basically your opinionated aunt in cat form. She’s seen some stuff, doesn’t approve of much, and absolutely lets you know when you’ve stepped out of line — just look at that RBF face and you’ll understand immediately.

She was declawed long ago — but don’t be fooled. If you displease Her Highness, you’ll still get a swat. Think of it as somewhere between a light breeze and a passive-aggressive tap on the shoulder.

Brinkley is a glam gal through and through. With her luxurious Maine C**n mix coat, she requires brushing several times a week to stay red-carpet ready. She enjoys head scratches… but only until she decides she doesn’t. (Boundaries, darling.)

She is perfectly fine with cats and dogs — she just politely ignores them while she supervises everything in style.

At 12 years old, Brinkley is perfectly content to lounge, supervise the household, and silently judge you while looking fabulous. She’s also diabetic, requiring twice-daily insulin and special food — but she takes her meds like a total pro, and we’ll happily show you how easy it is.

Brinkley has been vaccinated, spayed, combo tested (negative), and microchipped.

Pirate has been waiting for a long long time for a home.

He was picked up as a stray in Sperry, very beat up.

Pirate is a super people friendly dog. He is very loving and needs a home where someone is home with him a lot or can take him with them.

Pirate is best placed without other dogs but has been okay with cats so far.

He needs an immediate foster or adopter.

�In the cat world, orange tabbies are usually boys… but Frankie didn’t get that memo. She strutted into our lives during a TNR clinic, underweight and scrappy, and we quickly realized this rare gem wasn’t going back outside.

Now? She’s a fluffy, bushy-tailed beauty who has traded in her wild streak for toys, cuddles, and all the kitten antics—zoomies, sneak attacks, and dramatic pounces.

Frankie is fostered with cats, dogs, and kids, so she’s already a pro at family life. She’d love a forever home with another kitty buddy to wrestle, chase, and nap with (because even unicorns need sidekicks).

📚 How to ask for cuddles (step one: meow until humans give in).
📚 How to charm foster parents with big eyes and soft purrs.
📚 How to make friends with every cat around.

Ghost prays and prays someone will decide he is worth taking home. 💔

He has been with us for months without any interest. He has been living in a boarding room all alone 😭

Ghost was a loose stray who was so skittish he had to be trapped.

He has come so far and trusts and loves the staff caring for him now!

Ghost is a sweetheart and a favorite around here, but no one ever gives him a second look.

GREAT PYRENEES LOVERS 🫶🏼

PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Marshmallow is a 1-2 year old Great Pyrenees. She has been returned and hasn’t secured a steady foster unfortunately so has been living in a boarding room for a while.

Marshmallow is not a laid back Pyrenees. She will need a firm assertive owner to provide and enforce boundaries for her to have successful placement.

Marshamallows ideal home would be active, patient, and dedicated.

She should be placed in a home with adults only due to resource guarding and dominant behavior.

She likes other dogs - her size is recommended for her rough and tumble play.

She can be fostered immediately!

Marshmallow is very good on a leash and is crate trained.

She needs a secure fence.

Marshmallow needs a true hero.
