One of the nicest posts from one of our earliest litters. My heart breaks for you and your family, but thanks for giving Ralph such a great life!!

Ralph E. Doodle was more than just a dog. Ralph E. was a larger than life personality who was on a mission to bring people together and to remind us that life is too short to not wag our tails and keep on smiling. Nearly 13 years ago, Ralph decided that we were his people and he picked us. He quickly became the mayor of our street, protector of the family, and everyone’s best friend. He proudly raised our three boys, helped train Lulu, and loved on everyone he met. Ralph became the face of my Instagram page and because of Ralph, Cleveland Doodles on Facebook was born. Cleveland Doodles is now home to over 5,500 doodle loving friends and family all because of Ralph!
Ralph made it his mission to find those who were scared of dogs and show them it was ok! There was never a lap too small for him to rest his bum. He was often seen wagging his body in opposite directions and smiling his ferocious yet endearing toothy grin!
Everyone who has met Ralph knows and will remember Ralph! The legacy and paw print left on our lives is tremendous. It’s one that will hopefully live on far longer than his short 13 years. Even in his final moments with us at home on Friday, he still wagged his tail to remind us and the amazing vet from Lap of Love that it would be okay.
This past year has been the toughest of our lives with the loss of Andrew’s uncle, my Roro, my Zaide, Andrew’s Grandpa, and my parent’s pup. Losing Ralph is a different type of pain that I never imagined but also a reminder of what happens when you love so hard. Loving isn’t easy and makes losing that much more challenging. We are brought some comfort knowing Ralph is surrounded by those who loved him and he’s continuing to wiggle waggle his tail wherever he may be watching over us!
Instead of a tear, share your favorite memories of Ralph with us and try and do something today to make someone’s day a little brighter!
