This poor woman. This is why you will hear me say "Don't wrap your lead rope around your wrist, don't go under the horses's neck when he's tied. I'm sure she knew this but got complacent. Good for her for sharing especially if it can keep another person from losing a digit, hand or worse. In the same vein, I have to repeat instructions about going through gates every day. Not to hear myself speak, but to keep my students and my horses safe. A gal that is a nurse, told me she had to fatalities come into the hospital that involved horses going through gates. They are large you are not, no match, in an instant you are gone, or horse has injury.

Our Farm

Horsemanship/riding lessons/ truck in for an hour with your own horse. As a professional horse trainer Cathie continues to travel off farm to help horse owners. She gives private riding lessons at Bobcat Farm by appointment only. Enhance the skills you already have or learn new ones. Gain confidence, beginner or advanced. Opportunity to experience trail riding once you hone your skills in the riding ring. Develop some amazing ground skills to work a horse at liberty. Have fun with horses, and stay safe! Cathie teaches what to do before an emergency situation. How do I have fun AND stay safe. We are a small farm with a very low key atmosphere. Lessons are always private one on one unless you want to share a ground lesson with a friend. Opportunity to compete in team penning, versatility, hunter paces, and cowboy mounted shooting events.
