This was a fun group today. They were all very well behaved...well, except Max doesn't care for his mani-pedi, but he forgave me

Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
My lifetime career has revolved around pets. From a young age I always knew I wanted to do something in the pet industry. Well, my life has been pretty diversified in this field. Everything we do is “animal related.” From horses, to dogs, to cats and everything in between.
I started out in High School working for our family vet. Little did I know I’d be with them for almost 24yrs. I did everything from Tech work to running, managing the clinic. My job was unique as I worked the front office as well as the back. This made my relationship with the clients very personalized and this was what I appreciated the most. Yes, animals are my passion, but the people and the long time relationships built along the way are what I’ve enjoyed the most.
I had always enjoyed grooming and we did a little in the Vet clinic (mainly for medical reasons) but I always wanted to take the extra time to make them look presentable. As I became a single mother, I started looking into grooming. I studied up on the breed grooming and became certified. So I groomed dogs 2-3 days a week. As my vet was approaching retirement, I decided this was the direction I wanted to go. He slowed his practice down as I built my grooming clientele. It was an easy transition as I had so many of the same clients. I would also bring home a few cats at times that needed medical treatment/boarding that the owners didn’t want to do at home. Well, the rest is history. I’m happy to say I have such special relationships with these clients and their pets. I hate to use the word “clients” as they’re more like friends and family. I enjoy nothing more than to have the time to visit with these friends.
My husband, Ted, and I also did Obedience training and competing with our Schipperke dogs. We trained several of them through the highest levels of Obedience with most of them earning titles. We dabbled in Agility for awhile while our dogs were younger. We volunteered for many years at our local kennel club teaching Dog Obedience classes for basic and Advanced levels.
