The invite-only event, held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, will be open to those who have filled out an application on the NVHS website and obtained pre-approval. With more than a dozen kittens, offered for adoption in pairs, the event will provide families with an opportunity to meet, greet, and take home some adorable feline friends.

Attention cat lovers! is hosting its first-ever adoption event on Caturday, November 2 at Flora Explora LLC in Walpole, Mass.

The invite-only event, held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, will be open to those who have filled out an application on the NVHS website and obtained pre-approval. With more than a dozen kittens, offered for adoption in pairs, the event will provide families with an opportunity to meet, greet, and take home some adorable feline friends.

β€œIt is NVHS policy to match each adoptable pet with just the right family, and we strongly encourage potential adopters to complete our online application,” said Cathy Tainter, the Society’s President. β€œThis year, because we have so many available kittens, we thought it would be a great way for individuals and families to spend time with the cats and find the purr-fect pair.”

The cost to adopt two kittens is $575, which includes deworming, flea treatment, all vaccines, and an appointment for both pets at a future NVHS spay/neuter clinic. Pre-approved applicants can take their chosen duo home the same day.

The adoption event will take place at the Flora Explora design studio: 203 Main Street in Wapole, Mass.

The new kittens are still being evaluated. They aren’t eating well yet so we are helping them with that so it won’t be an issue with any fosters. We can say they are already less hissy, just still very scared... and honestly, too adorable!!. More to come as we progress in the next day or so. Thank you again for your love and support.

Update...Thank you for the overwhelming responses! You are so amazing! We haven't had time to reach out to all who have offered to foster yet but we will! The new kittens are still being evaluated. They aren't eating well yet so we are helping them with that so it won't be an issue with any fosters. We can say they are already less hissy, just still very scared... and honestly, too adorable!!. Make Ema’s dreams come true! This two-year-old black beauty gave birth to six kittens AND survived life-saving surgery just after her rescue! Luckily, she is 100-percent and looking for her fur-ever home.

She is friendly and loves playing with the kittens in her foster home. She would do well as an only cat or perhaps, over time, with a younger kitten or cat she can become friends with. Ema will be a loving companion to the person/people who appreciate and love her back.

We are focused on cats in need in our communities and dedicated to spay/neuter as the only humane way to stop the sad overpopulation problem which leads to millions of cats euthanized in shelters every year.
