Divine Dog Grooming

***My books are close for the year. If I have room, I may be able to work referrals in.***

It’s that time of year again when I have limited availability to add a few new dogs to my grooming schedule. These are Tuesday - Friday appointments.

I’ll happily fill these spots with dogs who meet the following criteria:

• The dog must be under 20 lbs.

• The dog must be well maintained - if it is matted, I will shave it down. I always put the safety and comfort of the dog before the owner’s trim request.

• The dog is kept on an every 4 - 8 week grooming schedule, preferably prebooked.

• The dog has not been denied grooming at other salons for age, behavior, or aggression issues.

I have 1 appointment available, Dec 6 at 2:00. I’ll happily fill this spot with a dog who meets the following criteria:

Please note changes to my cancellation and no show policy.

No shows or same day cancellations will be charged 100% of the reserved grooming service amount.

Anyone arriving 15 minutes after their reserved appointment time will be considered a no show (see above) and will need to reschedule.

Emergency situations may be taken into consideration.

When 3 dogs cancel because winter has to have one last hurrah, Sulley was next in line for a groom. Standing for 2 hrs is hard for this old man, even with his shorter comfort groom.
Transitioning an older dog to a shorter, easier haircut is something some owners have a hard time with. It may not look as nice, but it’s all about the dog’s comfort and safety at this point.

In case you didn’t know, Racine now has a grooming school! This is very important since the pet care industry is experiencing a groomer shortage right now. Please follow the school’s page and provide these students with dogs to learn on.
I have taken several of my own dogs there for students to learn the hands-on skills of professional pet grooming.
