Our dogs make excellent family pets, being socialized from very early on in our own home with our own family. We have also had great success training our animals for upland bird hunting (dove and quail); previous litters have also produced successful duck-hunting animals. Upon noticing how well behaved our dogs are and the field quality our dogs exhibited, people began requesting to be put on a pu
ppy list if we ever bred our girls. Massey Nanson had her first litter in 2008 and unfortunately died before she had her second litter. It would take us another two years to get another female puppy and we waited until she was 3 to breed Mizzula. In May of 2019, Zula’s first litter dropped 11 puppies. In the process of distributing puppies we found Maverick to be the next Sire for Zu’s next cycle in the Fall of 2019. That pairing produced one female blonde born Christmas Day. We bred Maverick and Mizzula again in May 2020 for a late July litter. This litter produced 8 yellow labs: 2 red boys, three blonde boys, two red girls and 1 blonde girl. All these puppies were reserved by deposit with 10 days of birth. We love our blonde female Labrador Retrievers and cherish the time spent with precious puppies. We do this out of love and respect for the upland bird dog and family pet. Most of any profits Rockcastle Labs produces from the sale of puppies are utilized to support campus ministry (RUF & FCA), no kill animal shelter adoption agencies, the Salvation Army, TPC Widows Care and overseas missions.
