While reading my Domestic Rabbit this morning, I realized my candidate bio was not included. I looked back and found that I received a failure to deliver notice that went unnoticed.
I have attached the bio that was meant for the DR below, I am sorry to all of you that this did not get to you through proper channels, but please share it with anyone who may not see this post! I look forward to representing you all for another 2 years!
Hello District 6 members, for those of you who do not know me, I am your current Director and have been serving in this role since 2022. I live in the state of Louisiana and have been involved in the rabbit hobby for over a decade now. I have served as an officer on several boards from local to national clubs. I am currently a director of the National Florida White Rabbit Club and and President of a local all breed club here in Louisiana.
In my time as Director we have seen steady growth and involvement within our clubs and membership. We were regularly having poor turnout for youth contest at the ARBA Conventions, but in my first full year, we were able to have 40+ youth from all over District 6 compete in Louisville, KY! This could not be done without the help and involvement from the youth directors in each state and their respective state clubs.
My goal for the next 2 years is to not only continue this trend of growth, but expand on it and begin assisting these growing clubs with their goals of hosting spring nationals and bringing the ARBA Convention back to District 6. We have some very tenacious members in our district and I believe these are very attainable goals!
Thank you all for electing me to this position, and no matter the outcome, I can say with uncertainty that serving the ARBA which has done so much for me has been a great honor!
Dakota Manning ARBA District 6 Director
