Here’s Cordy! A 7 yr old Major Formosan Mountain dog/GSD/Lab mix who is defensive to strangers, apprehensive to young children and has resource guarding tendencies. Educated owners how to properly introduce him to visitors, create barriers to ease dynamics with their young son and give clear directions to Cordy when he needs support. Family much happier after we identified areas to improve his management and ease stress.
Here’s Star! A 1.5 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback whose arousal and energy can result in conflict with certain dogs and cause for more alert barking on walks. Educated owner on how to provide consistent boundaries within the home and on leash to support her choices and praise for compliant behaviors. Meeting her needs and requiring more work helped to reduce her reactions on leash to begin clear leadership and connection.
Here’s Winnie! A 9 month old Cream Retriever who is very sweet, gentle and easily excited when seeing those she knows for attention and pets. Educated family on positive strategies to support and teach skills where she learns to make her own choices to improve obedience and trust. She really did well and the family is looking forward to more lessons to advance her knowledge and strengthen their connection!
Here’s Frida! A young Terrier/Pug rescue mix who is reserved and shy and in the process of warming up to her new sister in her forever home. Working to support her and the family is important to not rush their time together and establish good routines and comfort to ease into closer proximity. Looking forward to being a part of their eventual union!
Here’s Bandit! A 4 month old Greater Swiss Mountain dog who mouths a lot, chases the youngest child and barks towards other dogs and jumps when excited to visitors to his home. Educated owners on how to set consistent lessons and patterns, establish training to manage impulse control/energy and set good boundaries for a dog who will reach 100 pounds at maturity! He’s a fun loving dog in the throes of puppyhood!
Here’s Charlie! A 6.5 month old Cavalier King Charles who constantly jumps, nips, pulls on leash and has inconsistent potty habits. Educated owner on how to support, teach boundaries and impulse control as well as manage access to reduce accidents with a more consistent routine. Charlie was so happy, more relaxed than she has ever seen and willing to rest while being alone. They are off to a great start with so much more potential to be a great companion!
Here’s Winston! A 3.5 yr old Cockapoo who is friendly and playful but often barks persistently when meeting new people, jumps and can demand for attention. Educated owners how to manage, teach and set better boundaries to ease his emotions and reward for compliance. Winston did great and worked hard and look forward to his progress in the coming weeks!
Here’s my newest addition Pookie! A 2.5 month old kitty who has integrated with my animals seamlessly with high energy and confidence. She loves her new big sister and instigates chase w Chewy often.
Here’s Maxx! A 13 week Bolognese who is learning basic puppy skills in his new home with his new first time puppy owner! Maxx is confident, curious, loves playing and gaining attention! Educated owner how to give him a great start and prioritize the most important skills before expanding his exposure to new stimuli! What a great boy and spirit!!
Here’s Archie (7 mo) and Luna (4 yr). Both are Cavapoochons who are working on potty training and barking. Educated family to provide more access to park for increased exercise and mental stimulation to meet Archie’s needs on a consistent basis and reduce access inside to establish better patterns for success!
Here’s Elle! A 2 yr old Maltipoo who reacts on leash to mainly larger dogs, territorial reactivity and also resistant to placing her harness on or picking her up. Educated owners on strategies to increase their leadership and communication with her as well as changing her association to sudden stimuli. Increasing her socialization also key to meeting her needs and reducing general anxiety. Looking forward to seeing her progress!
Here’s Arlo (3 yr old Chihuahua mix) and Finley (19 week old Chihuahua/Terrier Fox mix). Educated owner on how to manage introductions to visitors, alert barking at home, leash walking and reactivity, body guarding as well as separation and confidence training for Finley. These two did really great as the owner learned a lot to apply strategies for more consistent compliance!
Here’s Arno (4.5 mo Jack Russell) and Felix (16 yr old mutt) Arno is a very sweet, confident pup who is learning foundational skills to improve boundaries inside the home and cement potty training. Educated owners how to give him more exercises to increase their connection and challenge him mentally. His social skills are excellent and spends much time in public situations! What a great boy!!
Here’s Cosmo! A 1.5 yr old Shiba Inu who is new to his home and hunkering due to the Blue Angels flying over. He is such a calm and gentle soul but has sensitivity to sudden noises causing him to find safe shelter. He also was challenged by a dog in his space as we work to increase his connection to owners. Learning about him was so much fun and teaching new skills!
Here’s Georgie! A 4 yr old English Chocolate Lab who really loves people and dogs but pulls hard when excited to make walks challenging. Educated owners to provide consistent awareness and leadership to connect to him and use motivators effectively to enhance his work. At nearly 100 pounds, these skills have made a noticeable impact to reduce tension, potential injury and made walks much more enjoyable. What a good boy!!
Here’s Diamond! A 3 yr old Shihtzu who barks persistently for attention when new guests arrive to her home but calms down quickly once she makes contact. Also managing her potty habits helped by better boundaries, consistent exercise and management to supervise her access. She was much more attentive and supported with our new strategies.
Here’s Bear! A 7 month old GSD/Belgium Shepherd mix who pulls and barks on leash when seeing other dogs on walks or from his yard. Educated owners on loose leash techniques and exercises to strengthen their communication and motivate Bear to work! They are excited to practice these new skills and improve their leadership in the process. Look forward to seeing his progress and maturity occur!
Here’s Truman! A 5 year old Great Dane who was having a hard time reacting to other dogs on leashed walks and managing a busy neighborhood full of noise and distractions. Since we started training, his ability to manage now is significantly better and owners happy with results and improvement!
Here’s Louie! An almost 11 mo old miniature dachshund who is tired from his training session to improve separation anxiety skills and meeting new visitors to his home. His progress is going very well as his exercise at parks combined with desensitization to the city is helping in addition to more dog/dog play! He’s a wonderful pup as we all learn more about what makes him most happy!
Here’s Mushu! A 6 month old Terrier mix who has resource guarding tendencies and nips towards food in children’s hands. Educated family on ways to teach him to ease his arousal, go to his favorite spot during meals and work more for rewards. The inclusion of the flirt toy was huge to create positive ways to have the kids interact with him. Mushu is a great pup learning to abide better boundaries and rules!
Here’s Juno! A 16 month old Golden who loves to pull on leash towards rabbits and squirrels, jump on guests excitedly, rush out the front door and not come when called. Educated owner to set clearer boundaries, communicate more with her body and ask for more work to gain compliance and rewards. Integrating these skills with leash walking will help to provide consistent leadership.
Here’s Piper! A 3 yr old Parsons Terrier who is generally challenged with males and reactive to new visitors to the home. Educated owners how to shift their management and communication of her to gain consistent compliance through positive reinforcement! Also introduced loose leash walking to also reduce reactivity, especially towards grandson’s friends. Looking forward to hearing about her progress!
Here’s Oscar! A now 14 mo old Labradoodle who I’ve worked with over his first year and has turned out to be a fantastic companion learning so many skills including mountain biking, swimming and paddle boarding! He loves his family and is enjoying a great life! What a good boy!!
Here’s Wilson (9) and Willow (2)! Willow is a very friendly Frenchie who is learning to exercise patience with a shift in managing her arousal with positive affirmations. She loves doing work for her rewards and educating owner with strategies to motivate and inspire! These two really do well together and the heat required a pancake of rest 😂
Here’s Freja! Now an 8 yr old Pit/Boxer who I’ve been seeing since the start of the pandemic to ease her leash reactivity and anxiety! She loves our weekly walks and the owners have established better connections understanding her needs and personality. Love this girl!
Say Hello to Joey (8 months) and Teddy (11 yrs)! Joey is a Pit/Lab/Boxer mix who is reactive on leash and territorial with Teddy. Educated owner on strategies to set clear boundaries, praise him for work and compliance and remove access to high value locations. Also changing their approach to leashed walks also helpful to ease his emotions and reduce owner stress!
Here’s Willow (4 yr old Carolina/Shepherd mix) and Skye (5 yr old Black Lab/Shepherd mix)! Willow is more anxious and reactive both at home and on walks than Skye which increases stress and creates conflict. Educated owners on how to communicate better with the leash to set a calmer leadership tone when visitors arrive. Already noticing an impact and understanding their triggers to ease arousal and reduce jumping!
Here’s Naps! A 16 mo old German Shrpherd/Pitbull/Akita mix who gets very excited/emotional and jumps, licks on visitors to the home and pulls towards dogs on leash. Educated owners how to gain a better connection and setting clearer boundaries so he works harder for rewards with permission and praise. Family seeing noticeable changes and improvement from our first session and excited for more!
Here’s Joe (4.5 yrs) and Olive (10 mo)! They are both Shih Tzus and Olive is very sensitive and barks at random noises, at Joe and other random people and dogs. Educated owner how to set more consistent boundaries and rules when managing Olive’s behavior and reducing rewards without some level of work and permission. Olive was much more receptive and compliant by sessions end!
