From Lost Dogs of King County:
FOURTH OF JULY – The absolute worst time of the year for lost dogs. We have already seen several who escaped due to fireworks, and it will only get worse from here. Hundreds of dogs will go missing in King County alone, and as with every year, some will die. Make sure your dog isn't one of them.

Every July 4th and New Years Eve:
Dogs escape when let outside unsecured.
Dogs escape from fenced yards.
Dogs bolt through electric fences.
Dogs slip through opening/closing doors.
Dogs jump through open screened windows.
Dogs pull loose on leashed walks.
Dogs bolt from fireworks shows.
Dogs bolt from noisy parties.
Dogs escape without charged GPS trackers.
Dogs escape without wearing ID.
Dogs escape without registered chips.

BE PREPARED. Complacency is deadly.

Our sweet Chicken has made it over the rainbow bridge. It was his heart. He lived to be almost 17 and although his time before was rough, with us he had a good life. He was one of a kind. We will forever love you and we miss you terribly. 🌈💔
