FULL TUMMIES!!

Yes… there were other dogs at the pantry but this one was SUCH a star that he gets the spotlight!!

Thank you to all the volunteers and clients who joined us today to help feed hungry tummies.

Halo Cafe exists to serve community members in financial crisis to help feed their pets instead of having to surrender them to the overcrowded shelters.

CLIENT REMINDERS:
🐾 You must show proof of spay/neuter on each household pet for continued service at the pantry.
🐾 Fast Pass (all pets fixed - yellow card) clients are served first (if in line up format) or via drive through (at Alamos location)
🐾 New or existing clients with spay/neuter certificates IN HAND are green pass and the next priority for service.
🐾 New or existing clients with NO spay/neuter paperwork available are the third group to be served with a red pass.

FULL TUMMIES!!

Pets and People of the Pantry.

It was chilly but it was wonderful. So many clients lined up with their pets to receive our services. Thanks to all of our donors and volunteers, we were able to meet the need.

Now it’s time to restock the pantry.

Our rent is covered and we have a little food left over from tonight, but it will take around $4,000 to buy the additional food necessary to meet the need for February.

FULL TUMMIES!!

Our first pantry of 2025 was a success!!

Thank you to the volunteers and clients who joined us! If you need help feeding your pet, please call (559) HALO-717 to hear our 24 hour info message.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

🔸 ALL clients will fill out new contracts for 2025 so come prepared to show photo ID, proof of low-income AND your pets SPAY/NEUTER and Vaccination certificates.

Note: Fixing ALL HOUSEHOLD PETS is a requirement of the pantry and you MUST show proof for continued service. If you do not have proof, please visit your (or any) vet for a quick neuter confirmation exam so they can print a certificate for you. If your pets are not yet fixed, we are happy to provide information on low-cost services to help you get this done.

🔸 We help feed ESTABLISHED companion animals whose families are struggling financially.

Note: This service is designed for people who have unexpectedly fallen on hard times and are in danger of surrendering their pets. This service is not for newly adopted animals or feral communities. Please do not take on a new animal if you’re not in the financial position to care for them.

🔸 Please plan to get food BEFORE you start running low.

Note: We do not have hours beyond our scheduled distributions and we do not have a delivery service. For clients without transportation, we encourage carpooling, public transportation, and HandyRide (for those with limited mobility.)

Our last pantry of 2024 was amazing!!

Thank you to all of our volunteers and donors who made this day possible and thank you to the pets and their owners who joined us at the Fresno Animal Center for our annual Halo Holidays distribution. It was so great seeing everyone!!

Our next pantry is the Halo Holidays Pantry at the Fresno Animal Center on Dec 14 and it’s our ONLY distribution in December. Please call (559) HALO-717 for time and other details!

It was a busy, beautiful pantry today. Didn’t get as many photos as I would have liked but this special pup is doing the work of TEN cute pets… don’t you think? 🤓

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers who help us regularly. I know sometimes it can be difficult as we serve many people and many personalities. So this is a reminder that we are an all-volunteer operation that is not funded in any way other than the generosity of our animal loving community. We rely on community donations (food and funds) to operate. And we have rules so that we can operate efficiently and effectively with the limited resources available to us.

If you need our help, we welcome you at the pantry. In return, we ask that you be patient with us and kind to our volunteers. The service we provide isn’t mandatory and our rules are in place for a reason.

Pantry rules:
🐾 We do not have a delivery service. All clients must come in person and show photo ID and proof of low income status.
🐾 Clients agree to fix their pets and show proof of spay / neuter certificates for continued service at the pantry (we provide low-cost resources to help get this done).
🐾 Clients agree not to take on / adopt any additional animals once contracted for our services (if you are unable to care for the pets you currently have, we ask that you not bring additional pets into your care.)

FULL TUMMIES and HEALTHY PETS!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for tonight’s pantry and the mini vax clinic courtesy of Westside Rescue! We had clients, volunteers and even GIRL SCOUTS!!

We are blessed to be able to help the community members who need us and we couldn’t do ANY of this without you.

Now… it’s time to buy more food! This will cost us about $3,500.
