I've been asked what the pantry needs. This is what's left in the cat shed and still need to fill 4 totes just for Northumberland and Montgomery distributions. This is not counting our Mazeppa Distribution.
We are in need of cat dry and wet food, dog dry and wet food, bird food, hamster, gerbil, litter.
Companion Animal Hospital and Susquehanna Trail Animal Hospital are doing food drives for us.
We can use gift cards to tractor supply, chewy, Brookpark Pet Supply to get what we need locally.
We also need gallon ziploc bags.

🐾 Hund Haus Pay for a Stray Update 🐾

We have a rescue coming in tonight for an emergency groom.
Two more are scheduled for tomorrow.
And a recently dumped mama will be coming in before December, she’ll get cleaned up before heading back to the shelter, where we’re hoping she will have a better chance at adoption.

The Pay for a Stray fund will cover a little over half of tonight’s groom… and then it’ll be empty.

These donations cover supplies, staff time, and the care that goes into helping these dogs feel clean, safe, and seen again. We never turn these animals away; even when the fund is empty, we groom them anyway.

We’re humbly asking for donations to the Hund Haus Pay for a Stray Program, launched April 28, 2024.
Thanks to our community, this fund has already made it possible to groom over 45 dogs (and counting), pulling them from matted pelts, urine and feces–soaked coats, and heartbreaking conditions, giving them the relief and dignity they deserve.

Every dollar helps us keep saying yes when a rescue needs us most. 💛
