I love when this girl comes to visit.

A bath and deshed, nail trim and dremel, and one heck of a blowout was in the cards for Pep today!

This little ball of love is one of my absolute favorites. Starting days off with her is clutch scheduling on my part.

Meet Lisa 🐾

Lisa is ✨ spectacular ✨
I’ll take 14 of her right now

Lisa is ten, and losing her vision on her right side(so she regularly turns her head to see well(see photo two).
Her previous owner passed away and she was put in a shelter. She was rescued in March and will live out however many years she has left in pure bliss.

Lisa is the SWEETEST tiny dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Green bananas🍌 can prevent and reduce cancers by over 60%, according to the American Association of Cancer Research, so maybe stop hunting for those yellow bananas in the supermarket!
You can boost your dog’s immune and gut health with unripe, green bananas, which have less sugar and more fiber than in their ripened state. Research shows that green bananas offer:
🍌Pectin and prebiotics to build the microbiome and increase the production of butyrate and other short-chain fatty acids
🍌Leucocyanidin, a flavonoid that may help to prevent GI ulcers by inhibiting the release of histamine in the gut
🍌Resistant starch (non-digestible) fiber that helps to prevent intestinal disease, increase mineral absorption and B vitamin synthesis, control blood sugar, improve immune response, and may even prevent intestinal cancer

Quartered slices of green banana are a perfect training treat, whether your dog is prone to diarrhea or not. Suggested amounts, chopped into bite sized pieces:
Giant breeds: 1 green banana a day

Let's talk toes.

Whether you’re new to the world of owning a dog or you’ve had one your whole life, it’s important to keep your dog’s toenails trimmed.

Long claws are prone to splitting, getting caught between boards on decks and walkways, or even being partially ripped out by getting snagged in blankets or carpets.

While not life-threatening, these are painful injuries that make dogs foot shy and make further nail trims even more challenging.

Claws splitting can lead to infections, which will require an immediate, and probably costly, visit to the veterinarian.

Excessively long claws can also cause pain and pressure on the toes and paws, which can result in strain on their legs.

The general guideline is to trim your dog’s nails every 3-4 weeks, but this can vary based on several factors.

One tell-tale sign is that you can hear the claws tapping on the floor when your dog walks on a hard surface. Good-size claws are not supposed to make any clicking sounds.

Active dogs who walk frequently on hard surfaces may naturally wear down the unhealthy dog nails, requiring less frequent trimmings.

Conversely, dogs that spend most of their time indoors or on soft terrains might need their nails trimmed more often to prevent overgrowth.

If your dog's nails have grown too long and the quick has grown along with them, more frequent nail trims may be necessary to get the quick and nail back to a good healthy length.

Meet Bella! 🐾

Bella is a mix of a golden retriever and a Great Pyrenees and a 100% best girl.

Bella acted like she’s known me her whole life, maybe our souls knew each other in the past, idk but we clicked!

Bella got a GOOD deshed, probably one of the best de-shed transformations yet and did I take pictures or video? No. Of course not 🫠
I was too busy getting all the love. So it’s ok! Imagine a blonde tornado of fur spinning around the shop…

She also got her nails done!

The sweet potato sticks from Biscuit Authority LLC were a HUGE hit for this gal. I had to move the bucket where she couldn’t reach them!

Meet Gus! 🩵🐾

Gus is a lab husky mix.
He came by for a basic bath and nail trim. Gus was a very well mannered young man who did wonderfully for everything.

Mom mentioned once he’s in the tub he does great- she was right, he had to be lifted into the tub 😂
He just wanted a ride, that’s all.

I think it goes without mentioning that his has GORGEOUS eyes! Look at those baby blues!

sometimes I give your dog extra treats from Biscuit Authority LLC (after making sure they dont have allergies/dietary restrictions, of course) and take the cost of them out of my tip because they're such good boys/girls.

Oh Ronan 🐾

This sweet pitty mix came for a bath and deshed.

Ronan likes to lick his paws so we did an antibacterial, antiseptic, and antifungal wash and leave on treatment to help with the itchy scratchies he feels on his feets.

Ronan, as expected, was a big snuggly baby, gave all the kisses, and was the best boy.

Captain’s mom and dad told me when he is “getting pretty” at home, that he likes to hold a hairbrush.
I’ve never wanted anything to be true so bad in my life…

Turns out it was 😭🥹😍

Meet Captain, the English cream golden retriever! 🐾

Captain is just about a year old and such a well mannered sweet heart already!
He got a good, deep clean, his feet cleaned up, a nail trim and dremmel, and a blow out to get some of that undercoat out.

Captain was an excellent boy for his first visit and I can’t wait to see him again 🖤

Meet Tyrion! Tyrion is a Sheltie Terrier mix! 🐾

Now, if you watch game of thrones- you know his name, but if you dont(like myself) it’s pronounced tier-ee-in!
They knew he wouldn’t be a big dog so they gave him the little guy name.

Tyrion was very nervous for his first professional groom but he did great! We just both ended up getting a bath, is all.

Meet Roxy! 🐾

Roxy is a mini bernedoodle who I have affectionally sang “drop it like it’s hot” to for the duration of her appointment.

Ya see she looks like snoopy, which lead me to snoop, which lead me to singing snoop dog to her the entire time.

Did she like it? I couldn’t tell, she get verrry anxious for appointments and I think all she could focus on was trying to get down.
But if I had to guess I would say so.

Koop came in for a bath, nail trim, and de-shed and oh what a perfect way to start a Friday.
He was on his absolute best behavior! He even laid down for his blowout!

Fun fact! Kooper’s family has two dogs with the same name! One is this handsome fella, and the other is Cooper- a Jack Russel!
Little did they know they would meet and fall in love with someone whose dog had the same name!

One of my OG babies since opening in Montoursville- Mason! 🐾🖤

I always schedule Mason a little longer than I need because Mason has a touch of ✨ anxiety ✨

Nail trims are a no
Clippers are a no
Scissors are a no
Bath is an eh
Dryer is a sometimes
But me? Well, Mason LOVES me.

Mason trusts me.

So even though Mason doesn’t like the process he comes in the door so happy to see me and eventually tolerates my nonsense, after some snuggles of course.

Mason is easily the biggest golden retriever I’ve groomed, and possibly ever seen, so building a relationship was key!

See you again in October bud 🖤

Meet Lyco! 💙💛

Lyco is a 13 year old yellow lab.

In 2019 Lyco was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given 3-6 months to live.
5 years later she’s still living her best life.

Today was Lyco’s first professional grooming and she was an angel for everything. 🖤🐾
