Check the chip! It's a good day to make sure your pet’s microchip is registered AND that your contact information is up to date. A registered microchip with the correct information is the best way to help a lost pet reunite with their family.

Did you know that you can register your chip with any registry, including 24Petwatch? Don’t wait ... register it today!

Tips: If you know what registry your pet's microchip is registered with, you can log into your account and make sure the information is up-to-date. If you're unsure if your pet's microchip is registered or unsure of the number, any veterinary office would be able to scan your pet and give you the number. With that number, you can look and see if it's registered using the link in the comments or register the chip with your information using free registries, like 24 Pet Watch. It's important to note that many registries do offer paid subscriptions, but basic registry is free.

Lilies are DEADLY to cats. Even a little bit of pollen, which may fall from the flowers onto a table, be walked on by the cat, and subsequently licked off of the paw, can be fatal! Please do not purchase flower arrangements with lilies in them if they will be in a home with kitties.

I wouldn’t be able to do this work without financial support from Winston’s Whiskers!

Update on the Panleuk crisis! Dr. Laura Chretien stopped by and dedicated her time for each feline, giving them a vaccination (both injectable and through the nasal) to hopefully save who we have left. We did receive a phone call from an adopter shortly after we announced the tragedy saying they lost their beloved kitty. We are working so hard to overcome this virus. Dr. Laura has educated, guided, and assisted us through the whole process and we are beyond grateful! We will continue to update everyone on this situation but we are headed in the right direction. The cats we currently have are thriving and seem to be responding with supportive care.

To those who donated, we can’t even begin to thank you enough. This means the world to us and the animals. Being a county operated shelter, we are so limited to what we can do financially for our animals. It’s individuals and families like you that keep us going during these hard times.

To the rescues , volunteers , and fosters that reached out personally Stafford SPCA Forgotten Felines Cat Rescue , what wonderfully passionate people you are. You have our gratitude always. Your support was much needed. Thank you❤️
