As 2024 comes to a close, I look back on the year and just think how thankful I am. Thankful for those of you who have become new friends, most like family. I am thankful for the many people I was able to serve throughout the year. I am especially thankful for your unwavering patience with me as I struggled with various health and personal issues that put me beyond ridiculously behind in sewing your orders that I'm still working to catch up on!
There is no greater feeling than serving people. And that’s why I love what I do.

SD Molly ( https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100078756800527 ) has a new vest heading her way. The vest was made from the veteran's shirt with 2 pockets removed and reused, as well as several patches. The vest also features Contrast/Decorative Piping (it's hot pink, NOT red!), and the Clear ID Card Holder. Ms Molly is a Lab Retriever.

Here's SD Diesel in his new vest. The vest is the Deluxe 1-pocket style and features the Reflective Tape option. As you can see, Mr Diesel is a Lab Retriever.

SD Pierre will be showing a bit of his wild side in his new vest! This Deluxe 1-pocket vest features the reflective piping and a bit of in-house embroidery (his name on the handle). Mr Pierre is a Standard Poodle.

One more reason we do not use or recommend the "gentle leader or other harnesses that come across the dogs face.

Here is the vascular system in a canine head. This highlights the enormous amount of blood flow in the dogs nose. This blood flow serves many purposes, fuels the scent chambers, aids in temperature regulation, allows dogs to effectively track, but this also makes the dogs nose incredibly sensitive to touch. This is the main reason you should not use face harnesses. There are plenty of tools designed to communicate with dogs that do not put pressure on one of their most sensitive features. Hello, all! We're still up in Live Oak because the power has yet to be restored at our place in Tampa. The power company is saying by Thursday (the 17th). Gene has been going great guns up here, removing downed trees and dead branches left from 3 hurricanes -- Idalia, Debby and Helene. There was one tree that had snapped off a couple of feet up but its fall was broken by another tree across the driveway. Gene roped the bottom of the trunk and I pulled it down with his truck (F-550) ... ground shaking THUD!!! The 4-ft dia tree was too much for even the F-550 to pull down the driveway, so Gene got behind it with the loader and pushed while I pulled. Talk about feeling like Super Woman!!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ The hurricane seems to have pulled out the moisture and cooled down the air here. We've had the a/c off and all the windows/doors open for the last few days. Gene's son has been checking on our place and it's been cool enough there, too, for him to sleep comfortably in our house with windows open. Gene and I just can't say enough HOW BLESSED WE ARE!!! GOD IS AWESOME!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Good morning everyone! We are safe'sound on this beautiful morning! Funny how horrible weather always brings the best behind it. We got photos from a friend and our place in Tampa sustained amazingly minimal damage. We lost a lot of shingles off of our old, tired roof .. but still have the house! The canopy/tent is gone from over my sewing shop .. but I still have a shop! A few of the panels are down from the 8-ft fencing around the back of our house and our mailbox is gone .. but that's it. One of our neighbors wasn't as fortunate ... part of the metal roof over their house is peeled back like a sardine can 🙁 We'll stay here in Live Oak through the weekend, then head back to Tampa. All I can say is, for whatever reason, the Lord smiled on us and protected us once again ❤ ❤

Sorry I've been so absent again lately! Can't believe it's been exactly 1 month since I posted. I'm still having to proceed slowly with the back issues and I have gotten "some" sewing done --- I just need to post the pics!
In the meantime, I'll post this very ominous photo of yet another hurricane barrelling toward Florida. This time, though, it's not looking particularly good for us here in the Tampa Bay area :/ We have started packing up the essentials and will make the decision tomorrow night or early Tuesday, based on updates at that time, whether or not we're going to "bug out".

SD Major has a new vest on its way. This is a special version of the Deluxe 3-Pocket vest, made from the veteran's shirt with 3 of the pockets removed, as well as some of the patches, and reused. The vest also features the Reflective Tape option. Mr Major is a Greyhound.
