Every now and then I like to mix the young kids in with the older kids for a group lesson. Tonight was so good! It warms my heart to watch the older ones take the younger ones under their wings, helping them and cheering them on. Tonight was good ❤️
I have the best job in the entire world. I spend my days teaching kids how to love, care for and ride horses. I get to create a relationship with them, coach them and cheer them on!
This big red freightrain moved into the barn a month ago. Titan is an opportunity and blessing all rolled up into one. Tonight was our first run together, and to say were excited is an understatement!! Thank you Hurliman Family for trusting me to jockey and care for your big sweet boy. Let’s go see what he can do! 🤩
Today was the first time we worked with Elvis on loading into the trailer. He is 3 months old now. It took him 42 seconds after Mama Shine and he got in 🤩 After that we took Shine out and let Elvis check out the trailer. He got in 2 more times by himself. I am so impressed with his mind 🤩
Hank & Sharon at Redmond Rodeo. Hank is starting to run like his old self, and I don’t know who is more excited….Sharon or the W.E. Team! 😂
This run won’t grab a check, but it’s a good start in the right direction. Good boy Hank ❤️ Thanks Steve Kenyon for the kind words, it’s always fun to hear your voice!

✨ We have a VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! ✨
Woods Equine is expanding to two facilities in Turner and Aumsville! We will be taking over an adorable boarding facility in Aumsville; with 14 Boarding Stalls, Turnout, Indoor & Outdoor Arena. This will become our home base for winter lessons, training horses and clinics!
We will also be using a beautiful facility in Aumsville with a large indoor arena for lessons 2x a week, clinics and barrel races!
We are incredibly excited for the opportunity and adventure! We will be able to have a set schedule for lessons, offer training during the winter months and be able to schedule farther out for our Clinic Program.
During the summer we will still hold barrel races and clinics at the Dallas facility.
Hunter and I will be moving in December. We plan to hit the ground running!! We are incredibly excited for this adventure. We are overwhelming grateful for the opportunity that Tiffany and Dan made possible. And forever grateful to Cat & Jamie for the great recommendations.

Streakin For DatCash ‘Sparkle’ has reached her first milestone in her barrel racing career! Tonight at the Marriotts Race she reached $1,000.00 LTE. She ran a 15.011 to place her (for the first time!) in the 2D. This mare has been so fun to ride, train and run.

Streakin For Dat Cash ‘Sparkle’ ran her first 18 second run on a standard pattern. We have lots of room for improvement and are very excited for this mare’s future 🤩 She is so smooth and wants to run! This is her 8th competitive run on a standard and she clocked a 18.673. Good girl Sparks 💎 Thank you Cat & Brian, this mare fills my heart with joy 💜

You win some, you loose some. We are just grateful for the ride!
Sparkle is LOVING barrels! I am proud of her to adjust from running a standard pattern for a month to running a short pattern on the fly. This is also her first time running from the gate. She is learning her balance in a corner and getting more confident with every run. The sky is the limit for this mare!

In the past 13 days, we have fallen in love with people that were perfect strangers prior to evacuation. We have all grown to be a united family in the midst of tragedy. We opened our home up to evacuees and what followed left us speechless. We had 71 horses, 22 cows, 20 chickens, 10 dogs, 2 cats, a goat and one fish. As well as 45 people who called Woods Equine their temporary home. The amount of love, outreach and donation that headed our way was overwhelming. In a few days we had panels, hay, grain, buckets, a water truck, camper trailers, food and blankets. The horse community poured out their hearts to help save everyone they could. This massive effort would not have been possible without these people:
Water Truck & Porta Potty - Holiday Tree Farm
500 ml Zestarra - Ronda Melton
Outdoor Light - Herc Rentals
John Deere Gator 6x6 - Pape Machinery
Sawdust & Fly Masks - Scharbeck Family
Panels - Scharbeck, Griffin, Humphrey, Buhler, Mager, Stockton & Christensen Families
Hay, Grain, Vet Supplies & Monetary Donations - THERE IS MORE THAN WE CAN COUNT ❤️ YOU ARE ANGELS
Human Food - Cole, Cox, Pelzer, Pastor, Laugher, Allen & Turrentine Families
Camp Trailers - Woods & Faulkner Families
Thank you to all of the volunteers ❤️❤️❤️
THANK YOU Summit Joint Performance for your donation and helping raise awareness about the tragic fires.
A huge thank you to Rachel Pelzer, Catherine Mooers & Judy Taylor for preparing all of our meals.
What use to be our ‘Woods Equine Lessons’ Group quickly turned into a Livestock Evacuation Group. These heroes drove through fire to save over 2,700 ANIMALS. Hailey was up for 72 hours dispatching strangers to help strangers. It was a massive group effort!
The rest of the crew was up at all hours of the day feeding, watering, cleaning & caring for the animals. We also had a security team 24/7, just incase those fires ‘headed’ our way.
We found a few morsels of beauty during this tragedy. Neighbor helping neighbor, stranger saving
