Located in Morristown, TN. Flopm Down Giants Rabbitry is a small scale colony raised nature based rabbitry where we focus on SOP, health, disease resistance, disposition, and varieties. Our main breeds that we focus on are the light grey flemish giant, french lops, and new zealand. FDGR has joined ARBA and is working towards NFFGRB and LRCA at this time.

The muscovies have started incubating their clutches, hopefully we get ducklings next month. So exciting!! 😁

Had my oldest daughter draw the rabbitry a new logo to better represent what it is that I am working on developing into.
She used pictures of Zephyr the flemish giant, Rhea the french lop, and Poppyseed the new zealand then allowed her artistic abilities to take hold and develop this for me. I then used inCollage to add the rabbitry info to it. I'm so happy with it.
I do plan to add the various specialty groups that I am in as well but not at this time as I feel that joining too many at one time takes away focus and learning. I am a current member with ARBA and NFFGRB (flemish giants) but have plans for LRCA (lop rabbits) and NFNZRB (new zealand).

NFS - just showing off!!

"Freki" is derived from one of the Norse and Germanic mythological Gods, "Odin's wolves". Freki was one of two of Odin's wolves that he fed in Valhalla as he drank wine.

It also respectively means, "voracious", or "greedy", and "violent"

I like to grow fresh herbs, berries, and produce for our rabbits, chickens, and family using direct sow into the rabbit manure from our bunnies.
I grow kale, romaine and buttercrunch lettuce, cilantro, Italian and flat parsley, English and lemon thyme, basil, oregano, sage, lavender, sweet mint, catnip, rosemary, chamomile, yarrow, marigolds, chocolate mint (not bunny safe), strawberries, tomatoes, melons, raspberries, blueberries, cabbage, and broccoli.
I expand by the year, so next year will be different, it's exciting.

The rabbits get fed from the garden and foraged from the yard on a daily basis as well as having their outside area behind the barn to graze as they wise they have free access to fresh foods almost constantly.
