🚔🐾 Puppy Field Trip to the Hopkinsville Police Department! 🐾🚔
A couple of our adorable pups had the bestest day ever visiting the Hopkinsville Police Department, and they absolutely stole the show! 😍
Their first stop was at ECC, where they snuggled with the incredible dispatchers (puppy therapy, anyone?). Next, they popped in to say hello to the detectives and even got to meet the station dog, Bolo (who’s an absolute legend, by the way—sorry, no pics this time!).
On their way out, they became the stars of the station, bringing smiles to everyone they met. One officer even got a surprise puppy nap on their lap! 🐶💤
It was a fantastic day for socialization and spreading joy. These little ones never disappoint! 💙

Everything is iced over, but the puppies are cozy and warm. It's a perfect day to do nothing. 🐾 ❄️

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and that your new year is off to an amazing start! I’ve been soaking up family time while my daughter was home on vacation and my son was enjoying his school break. We’re also eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first grandbaby, who was due last week! Fingers crossed she decides to wait until after this ice storm passes to make her entrance.
Puppy Update: I can’t believe the pups will be 6 weeks old tomorrow—it’s amazing how fast time flies! We spent most of the day outside getting everything ready for the incoming storm. The pups had a blast “helping” my husband fix the gate in their puppy house.
We also added extra insulation to their house to make sure they stay cozy and warm, just in case the power goes out. After all that excitement, the puppies enjoyed lots of playtime in the yard. Tomorrow looks like a good day to stay indoors and hunker down. Stay safe, everyone!

The Puppy Chronicles: Week 2
The puppies are officially two weeks old, and let me tell you, it’s a circus act in the whelping room! Their little eyes are open, they’re wobbling around like tiny drunkards (two steps forward, one face-plant back), and they actually lift their heads when I whistle or smooch at them—it’s heart-meltingly adorable.
This morning, Michael and I were drawn to the noise coming from their room, only to find a full-blown puppy wrestling match. Ear-biting was the sport of choice, but with their toothless little mouths, it was all gum and glory.
Mama’s doing an amazing job keeping them all well-fed—these puppies are round, plump, and ready to conquer the world (or at least the next milk break). She’s even chill enough to let Drago pop in for a peek at her babies, which is quite the trust milestone!
I know I’ve been slow to update, but life’s been a whirlwind. With my oldest girls out of the house, it’s just me and Michael holding down the fort. Between homeschool, sports, Christmas prep, and a grandbaby arriving in two weeks, it’s a miracle I find time to breathe. But don’t worry, I’ll keep the puppy updates coming—these little furballs are too cute not to share!

I didn't know they got a picture of the boy smelling my jar of human "stuff." I warned him! 🤢 🤣

Today, I had the privilege of joining my daughter, Brittany, representing Cedar Valley Canine and the Hopkinsville Police Department, at Fort Campbell High School to speak with forensic anthropology students about human remains detection.
The highlight was watching Matsi in action as we demonstrated how we imprint odor and conducted a quick search. Brittany did an incredible job engaging with the students, answering their many questions about cadaver work and dog training. The Hopkinsville PD also shared an intriguing fingerprint demo and insights from their training at the Body Farm.
To top it off, I brought Drago along for some much-needed puppy love. True to form, he outdid himself in showering the students with affection—though I think he might have enjoyed it even more than they did!
It was a fantastic opportunity to share our work and passion while connecting with curious, enthusiastic students.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! 🎉 We’ve officially entered bulking season—you know, the time when we gracefully add a few extra pounds during the holidays, only to make ambitious New Year’s resolutions to shed them.
Every time I look at these plump little puppers, I can’t help but laugh—they’re bulking too! But for them, it’s cute. 😂 These little fat potatoes are growing like weeds, and a few are even wobbling around trying to walk.
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had a litter, and I forgot how fast they grow and change! If you’re interested in one of these adorable little burnt potatoes, let me know. They're the best kind of holiday ‘bulking buddies.’ 😉

OMG! These puppies are freaking adorable! 🐾💖 Despite the busyness of visiting family and prepping for Thanksgiving tomorrow, I managed to snap a quick pic of these lovely ladies. 😍 Can't get enough of their cuteness! 🐶

🐾✨Puppy Alert!✨🐾
Lakota pulled an all-nighter (because who needs sleep, right?) and brought a litter of puppies into this world between the evening of the 23rd and the morning of the 24th! 🎉 She’s officially the mom of 5 boys and 4 girls. 💪❤️
Here’s where things get... interesting. Lakota was bred to Cedar Valley Canine's, Jaffar, BUT two days later, Drago decided to make his own "romantic" contribution by Houdini-ing into her kennel. 🤦♀️ Soooo, these pups are going to keep us on our toes until their DNA tests come back with the Maury-worthy results: "Jaffar/Drago, you are (or are not) the father!" 😂
Both boys have stellar bloodlines, so these babies are going to be amazing no matter what. If you’re in the market for a perfect little pup, let us know! 🐶💕 Stay tuned for updates and adorable puppy pictures soon!

Hello All,
It's been a while since I've posted here. I pray everyone has had a great New Year thus far, especially for those of us that got kicked in the teeth by 2023! Yeah, that was our year. But thank God for new beginnings, new perspectives, and renewed faith. Without getting into the details I have been off the map for about 6 months for health reasons and will be continuing on my healing journey for a little bit longer. With that said, we are still in business but our focus will be a little different for the time being. My daughter Brittany is taking over the training end of AGS with her own name, Foundations Dog Training. She has been training both working and pet dogs since she was 14 years old and is gifted in her abilities. We will begin breeding again after my other daughter's wedding- so probably late spring time. We are eager to get back to utilizing our dogs again to serve our community, and look forward to sharing our journey with you all when the time comes. If you have any questions about training please contact us @ 270-881-2052 or 270-498-2586.

About Us
Arbeitshunde German Shepherds is run by a police family and was a lifelong dream of Brooke Luckingham, a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and current K9 handler for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team. The love of the German Shepherd breed is in her blood, beginning with her great-great-great-grandfather, Alexander Baxter. He is pictured here with his Shepherd, who is said to be an offspring of Rin Tin-tin. When Brooke was a young child she fell in love with the breed, but had to wait until adulthood to pursue her dream. She adopted her first shepherd mix when she was 21, setting the stage for her eventual pursuit of training and breeding.
After a long illness that debilitated Brooke for some time, she purchased her first working dog and began training her for Animal-Assisted Therapy. Through the training process, Brooke found that much of the lingering health issues she was suffering from as a result of her illness would begin to fade away.
Brooke has always had a desire to serve her community, and because of her experience, she developed a passion through her canines to help others that struggle with PTSD and other ailments. During her quest to certify her dogs for therapy work, Brooke met Bob Lapointe, a former Disaster Dog hander and K9 handler for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Bob recognized Brooke's passion and eagerness to train. He began mentoring her on the intricacies of tracking and article detection. After several months of instruction, Bob brought Brooke and her K9s onto the Montgomery County Search and Rescue Team where she is continuing her training.
Brooke has hopes in the future to certify with FEMA's Urban Search and Rescue Task Force and one day start a canine SAR team in her area.
Progressing forward, she has made it her mission to include in her breeding program well-rounded dogs who have great temperament, strong drive, solid nerves, and ability for a professional working environment or personal companionship.
