Such a treat to have FEI Dressage trainer / retired USEF judge Sue Williams at Brookside for a dressage clinic. Boarders Joan and Py started the day off. Sue eill be back once more in October. As always, auditors welcome no change!

Kaitlyn Stubbs had a successful day at Azrael Acres Horse Trials, showing High on Believing “Cayde” in Beginner Novice. Kaitlyn started the morning with a solid dressage test scoring her personal best of 29.41! show jumping proved to be a challenge with an early rail due to a tack error (nothing like a busted breastplate hitting Cayde in the chest!) but Cayde was a superstar and gave it his all. cross country was immediately following show jumping and Cayde showed he still had gas in the tank and gave a strong effort for a clear finish! this led to FIRST PLACE for Kaitlyn in her debut show of the year!

Its been a whirlwind of a week for Brookside trainer Tom Davis starting with coaching Kay and Borris where they finished 5th in the Open Training division at Huntington Farm Horse Trials in VT. Then it was off to Millbrook, NY on Monday/Tuesday for some continuing ed for himself with SJ and XC lessons with Pan Am Games bronze medalist Sharon White. A quick turnaround on Thursday and it was off to the GMHA Festival of Eventing with Bridget and Tillie competing Prelim, Kay and Borris competing Training (5th) and Jane and Blue competing Beginner Novice. Next up is a Sue Williams dressage clinic today at Brookside (auditor welcome - no charge)! Then its off to Valinor schooling event on Sunday. Tis the season!

It was a fantastic weekend spent with so many friends, new & old! We were blessed with the opportunity to host the PROELITE/USDF Breeders Championship Northeast Series Qualifer and the 2024 National Dressage Pony Cup Partner Breed Show. So many beautiful horses strutted their stuff in the ring and fun was had by all.

We have such a great community of equestrians!

Brookside Equestrian Center in North Smithfield, RI (on the Uxbridge, MA line) has multiple stalls open or block of stalls for full and rough board options for riders of all disciplines.

Located on 60+ acres, surrounded by Trout Brook Pond and miles of trails, brookside hosts 48 stalls, 70x180 indoor riding arena, regulation sized outdoor arena, derby field, jump field and a 1/2 mile track.

We also have a heated lounge, 2 bathrooms, multiple tack rooms, lockers, and multiple trainers on site.

Local veterinarians have given public kudos to the care we provide!

It's been a busy 3 weeks for Brookside trainer Tom Davis coaching the Flatlands crew at USEA events in MA, NY and VT. All 3 students had stellar dressage tests this past weekend at Huntington Farm Vermont. Kay and Borris were 2nd after dressage in their OT division and had a good SJ round. Kay opted to withdraw before XC as she was feeling under the weather. Megan and Anthem were also standing 2nd dressage in their BN division and jumped 2 clean rounds to finish 2nd. Jane and Blue were 1st in their BN division and with the best dressage score of the day. They had 2 educational jump rounds finishing out of the ribbons but Jane is really starting to sort out the changes in her position! Great job everyone.

Brookside trainer Tom Davis had a couple of continuing education days for himself training with USEF eventing team rider Sharon White at Scarlet Hill Farm this past week. Leslie, Jane and Kay also rode in the clinic which offered dressage, show jumping, and XC lessons. Its always a treat to not only train with Sharon but watch her train you students!

It was a hot one last weekend for Aly and her Brookside Crew. Saturday started off at Countryside Farm for Cow Sorting 🐮. Sunday we headed over to Cornerstone Farm for a day of showing under judge Gina Lindell. Great day had by all.

Congrats to Brookside boarder Kay and Borris, coached by Brookside trainer Tom Davis on their 4th place finish in the Open Training division at the Green Mountain Horse Association June Horse Trials. They were one of the few who didnt have any jump penalties on XC! Go go Kay!

Congrats to Brookside boarders Samantha & Sally and Allie & Triscuit on their fantastic day of showing at the Tri State Open Show. Samantha finished 2nd in both of her Open Hunter rounds. Allie was Overall Champion in the Walk / Trot 10 and under division winning the Discipline Rail and Pleasure classes and finishing 2nd in Equitation class. Allie also competed Parakeet winning the Arena Race and Barrel Race finishing Overall Reserve Champion. Great work girls!!

Another fantastic day out eventing for the Flatlands crew coached by Brookside trainer Tom Davis, this time at Course Brook Farm schooling event. Kay and Borris competed in the OT CT (sadly no photos). Jane and Blue were 2nd in the BN-C horse trials and Nicole and Loppan were 4th in the AE-B horse trials. Great job everyone!

Brookside trainer Aly Rose reports ... Awesome weekend with the horses. We started off our weekend Saturday at Iron Will Farm for cow sorting 🐮. Team Gia DeLuca, Hailey and Jordyn pulled a great sort landing them second place. Sunday they headed over to Cornerstone Farm Veronica Santo started the day for us with a great warm up and a fantastic over fences and flat classes. The littles (Hailey, Jordyn, Allie Thibeault) had great flat classes earning respectable ribbons in each class. We ended the day with our favorite, GAMES!!! The girls kept battling it out for the top 3 placings in each class.

The Flatlands crew, coached by Brookside trainer Thomas Davis attended their first schooling horse trials last weekend at Apple Knoll Farm. Boarder Kay and Boris finished 1st in the Training CT. Megan and Anthem finished 2nd in the BN Horse Trials. Leslie and Melody were forth and Jane and Blue were 7th in the same division. Next up is Course Brook Farm schooling event this Sunday.

Brookside boarders Julia and Phoenix competed at Falls Creek Farm this weekend and improved their time with every run. She started the weekend running a 16.6 and ended it running a 15.9! Go Go Julia!
