So my mom’s friend, Joanne, let me use her woodworking shop so I can carve the staff so it can take the lance head and butt for St. George Roman Cataphractarii/Clibanarii video, with the saddle, that I am working on. Now I was hoping she’d have a lathe, but the drawknife that she did still did the job in all of 30min. Where is using the sheath knives, Swiss Army knives, etc I have on the boat would have taken me, I don’t know, A WEEK, and no where near as good or smooth as as what I did get. Also it also enabled me to me to get into the mind of a late antiquity armorer, and do it the way they would have.

Growing up, my favorite author was Jack London. Currently being docked at Alameda California I’m right next to his hometown of Oakland. Often to get into downtown Oakland I have to go through Jack London Square. Last Sunday I finally decided to pick up some stuff and actually go into Jack London Square, partially because I had to pay a overdue transit fair to Santa Cruz for ’s beach cleanup), but I was able to see the Jack London cabin as well as have lobster roll from . If anyone knows me and my New England and Connecticut roots would know I love lobster and lobster rolls!!

This bad boi finally came in from Spain thanks to !! I am working on a project on St. George, and this Roman style saddle is a key part of it. Already have a Roman Cataphractarii/Clibanarii gear. Will need some clay bricks, period accurate glue, and brass, for the “Dragon”, as well as a horse willing to do, it. Any help getting the materials or performing the experiment would be useful.

So, apparently I got very lost at and ended up involved with something from the Cretaceous period. But as an aspiring cryptozoologist, if I know how to really deal with animals that see you as food. And besides if I am going down, I’m going down fighting!!

For a future video I have planned, I am need a 10’ tall dragon statue made out of materials that would’ve been available to fourth century A.D. Anatolian Romans and one that can easily chopped up by a Roman spatha. Ideally on the budget end, but does have to at least look as if it could belong in a temple. Does anyone know how I could get my hands on one or make one?
