Columbine Classic Stalling
Due to issues outside the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association’s control, we have been forced to make some changes to this year Columbine Classic Horse show. The Ranch Events Complex is currently undergoing major construction to the horse related facilities. The facility is currently working on expanding the indoor warmup arena and making improvements to the west stalling pavilion.
At the time we signed our contract, the facility had agreed to allow outdoor temporary stalling while under construction. Since that time, the covering for those stalls was destroyed; as a result, outside temporary stalling is not available.
The facility has now agreed to allow the Columbine Classic to place stalls inside in the small warmup arena. While this will limit the amount of inside warmup space, the board and show management have determined that it is the only way to move forward with the show. The facility still has two large outdoor arenas as well as limited indoor warmup space.
The facility has assured us that by 2024 the second stalling pavilion will be open and back to normal operations with 360 stalls as well as expanded indoor riding facilities. RMRHA will consider this for next year’s show.
The Ranch Events Complex has invested heavily into the horse facility and is trying to improve its facilities to offer improved showing facilities. The RMRHA believes that while this year presents some challenges, building a long-lasting relationship with a facility of this caliber is advantageous.
We understand that this limited amount of warmup space for the 2023 Columbine Classic is not ideal. We ask everyone to continue to work with us and come enjoy the show. If you, as an exhibitor, feel that this show is no longer conducive to your needs and goals due to the limited warmup space, full refunds will be offered upon written request.
If you have any questions regarding stalling, warmup space at the show, or any other questions about the show, please reach out to show management by emailing [email protected] or call the show manager, Doug Hammack, at 303-601-0623.
We recognize that changes this close to the show are not ideal, but the RMRHA and show management have been working as quickly as possible as these changes have unfolded. We appreciate your understanding.
